  • Sports Interaction Lowdown

    Hi guys,

Just thought I'd let you know that I did a little digging into Sports Interaction and
found out some legal information that we
    got straight from the RCMP.

    Found out:
    1) They are operating illegally, at least according to Canadian law.
    2) The political situation in Canada makes it very unlikely that they will get closed down anytime soon. There's a big brouhaha right now between the government and the native Indians.
    3) The RCMP says that they aren't even sure about the laws regarding betting online. In other words, Canadian bettors are safe for now.

I've got a lot more info in my column at covers . com .

By the way, as I mention in the column, I think it's imperative that we all try to support Sports Interaction and make sure that a sportsbook thrives in Canada. It could only put pressure on then American government to open up the doors.

Either way, I think it's worth a couple of dollars of risk.

And no, I'm not being paid by Sports Interaction.

    Later,
    Lou

Thanks for the info. Total Entertainment, which operates Theonlinecasino.com and SlotsVegas.com currently is run out of Quebec as well (but claims the servers are in Honduras and their bank is in the Bahamas). They are claiming that the government informed them the Mohawks should be permitted to allow outside parties to accept wagers from this territory in the next few months. Not sure how reliable this info is but I certainly see this as a major plus for the industry.
