CRIS RANT... very disappointed...

I posted up with CRIS after hear reading how solid they were from this web site's visitors. After enjoying one month of solid playing, (screen numbers, fast dial-ins etc.), I came across a strange problem. I called in one day and I was read a balance of $0. I had my balance at about 22K!

After having an absolute heart attack, I spoke to their manager who told me that there had been a phone receptionist problem and there had been plays placed incorrectly in account that should have been somewhere else. He said that they would listen to the tapes and sort everything out. It shouldn't be more than a week, he said. I was unfestered because of what I heard about their solid service.

Sadly, its been 8 weeks later and my problem is still not finalized. The balance was recalculated and I was even given a 10% bonus for my troubles. The manager even said that I could now start playing on the account, but I could not recieve a payout till things were really finalized. I have numerous outs so I chose not to play with them till matters are more finalized, but it's very frustrating to see such a chunk of your bankroll "frozen" through all of football season...

Sharpie - I tried CRIS a couple of months ago. Their payouts are excellent, lines are really sharp. I only have one complaint. Some of the clerks are not as friendly as others. It seems that you owed them a favor by playing with them. Everyone knows how solid they are but if a shop who still doesn't have online wagering, everyone should the handle the phone in a "professional manner".

I don't have an account at CRIS but I can relate to the previous posts. I've talked to CRIS and they seemed very professional but there is a bit of the our crap don't stink thing going on.

Olympic isn't that bad is it?

I've never had a problem at either of these two places with the clerks as long as i limit my requests for lines and get to the point.

From personal experience i can tell you answering the phones all day ain't easy. Give 'em a break...

Answering the phone all day can't possibly be that much fun, but consider it from the business standpoint. It's their first contact with their customers. Most other books don't seem to have the problem, so I'm inclined to believe that somewhere in the chain of command emphasis is not put on this.This issue has been brought up here many times and nothing seems to change.

Sharpie, First off let me start off by saying that CRIS is one of the best run operations that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with, prompt and courteous clerks,very professional service given here if you have a problem you can always ask to speak to a supervisor. When you are given a line you can bet at that number, you won't get I'm sorry sir that line has moved. This is one of the oldest and most respected operations that are out there literally speaking this outs lines moves the world.Getting around to it Sharpie I am sure that if you will call customer service and ask to speak to John Melton that he will be more than happy to help you in resolving this matter as fast as he possibly can. Sharpie by the way I have a question for you, do you by any chance tape your conversations when you call?

I hope you get this situation solved. CRIS is the book that ALL the others follow. Their line is the most solid of them all. They have almost every wiseguy in the world playing there. They honor every line and every bet. Let us know how this turned out...
