Yeah the whole domain name thing can get a bit silly and sordid. There is constant litigation over all kinds of stupidity here in the US. However I do personally know companies and individuals who have made successful deals with these domain names without it getting ugly. In all 3 instances the figures were in the very low 5 figures and were all involved in the adult business.

Hartley, it is a damn sex site. I tried to go to wallstreet.com at the university computer lab and the keyboard didn't register the second "l" when I was typing.

Suddenly, this sex site shows up and I'm thinking "oh ****" and "oh ****" in a room with like 100 people. I click in the corner to exit internet explorer and all these new pop-up windows appear with more porn sites!!! I'm there fighting to close each one down and as soon as I do three others pop up!

Man, what an embarassing experience!

Yeah whitehouse.com is a sex site while whitehouse.gov is the government's site.

And sites like rodstewart.com, eltonjohn.com etc. are all links to sex sites.

That's why if you have kids who surf the netyou should really use Cybersitter. The only problem with that is that if you block out with cybersitter, netnanny etc. it also blocks out most of the sportsbooks.

Actually I have Compuserve but will have a cable connection on Sunday - had it originally but they decided after that the area wasn't ready yet and I had to wait another 3 months.
