Wizard of Odds...Pure Class

I had a situation in recently in which I ABSOLUTELY was at fault by a
inadvertant mistake I made. It was unintentional but it was one of
those
mistakes any other book (except maybe Premiere League) would have made
me eat my error.

I had no business even ASKING them to rectify my error when I
discovered
it after hanging up the telephone, but being long on cajones I gave
it a shot. To my absolute astonishment, they let me fix my problem,
which I am too embarrassed to say what it was on this post.

I just want to say that they, and also Premiere League, because it
happened to me once there also, has in my opinion, the nicest, most
accommodating and absolute best customer service I personally have
received.

I am quick to bash books when they screw up. I want to publicly thank
these two sportsbooks for going way above and beyond what is expected
of
them and I promise to seek therapy for my dyslexia problem and if I
ever
accidently mess up again, I will deal with the consequences.

These two guys may not be the biggest, but they have the best attitude
that I've come across on a consistent basis. I don't think Wizard of
Odds has been talked about alot by you guys. I suggest to everyone you
give them a shot...they're a winner and a champion, and Jennifer, if
you're not married and ever in California, I want a date!!!

I have to agree with you Boomer. I have had an account with Wizard of Odds since August 1998, and I have never had a negative experience with them. Everyone I have dealt with on the phone there has been friendly and courteous. Excellent customer service.

On at least two occasions, they have interpreted ambiguous situations in my favor and put more money in my account than even I thought I was entitled to. I wasn't even pushing for it; in fact, I openly told them that I would probably interpret the situation the other way. But they insisted.

At the time, in the back of my mind I was concerned that if they can use such an unusual interpretation in my favor today, who's to say they won't come up with some equally peculiar interpretation against me later, which will leave me then with no real grounds to complain? But certainly nothing like that has happened yet. They've never ruled against me in any ambiguous situation.

Also, I was fortunate enough awhile back to have a fairly lengthy conversation with Jennifer about how they got into the business, what she thought about the offshore industry in general, how she would respond to some concerns a person might have about signing up with Wizard or with an offshore book in general, etc. I was very impressed with her responses. I found her to be intelligent, frank, friendly, and utterly charming. I second Boomer's sentiments entirely: I too would feel honored to share her company on a date if the opportunity ever arose.

My recent experience with Wizard has been nothing but amazing...the staff has been very helpful and polite and always ready to answer a question...It is obvious that this book values customer service...I recently asked them to transfer money to Premiere League via bank to bank wire...They not only complied, but had the money in my Premiere acount within 36 hours...OUTSTANDING!!! My associate says You'll have to wait in line for Jennifer, he has first dibs!!! Any odds on that?

This is the first I'm really hearing about books on different islands transferring money between one another. I would be curious as to what books Wizard of Odds works with in this manner. A definite plus.

Sting-The Wizard of Odds is willing to accommodate. If a customer prefers to have money wired to another sportsbook rather than his bank we do not have a problem offering this service.

Jennifer, is Wizard of Odds planning to go on-line anytime soon, or even post real-time odds over the Internet? With all of the great things I'm hearing about your book, if either of the two aforementioned is available, I'd definitely be interested in posting up next baseball season.

Also, a couple more questions. Where in the Dominican Republic are you located? And how are you able to succeed in a country that has been notorious for harassing American offshore books?

Reno-A couple of our partners have been researching on-line software for a few weeks now. Our plans for an on-line service are forecasted for next Football season. We want to use the Baseball season to iron out all the glitches because it is a quieter time. We will also continue to maintain our telephone service.

We are located in Puerto Plata. To be precise, we purchased the old Superbook location. One of the reasons being it was a turnkey operation.

In answer to your last question, our success here is due to the fact that prior to arrival we had very strong ties to the Dominican government. We also had a strong connection with one of the most prestigious law firms in the D.R. Both of these relationships maintain and aided us in following the proper procedures to operate a business here. Foreigners moving to another country to open a business need to understand how the government operates, what the requirements and legalities are. As Canadians moving to the D.R., or to any other country for that matter, need to do the proper research. This is in no way an implication that other books did not. We have been more than welcome to operate our business here and have been treated kindly and with respect. We have met some wonderful people in this community and are viewed as a positive contribution to the economy.

Although I regard Intertops' service as the worst out of all my outs, I must say Carol stands out from the rest and is an absolute joy to deal with. She's knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and I find her the best person to deal with out of all my outs.
