As detailed in Bettorsworld under "Breaking News," Billy Walters, famous super-successful
sportsbettor, is again embroiled in a dispute with the government. This time it is the Las Vegas Police who are after Billy's money. And Billy's attorney calls their actions an "extortion plot."
The Las Vegas Police, plain and simple, suck. All they care about is making money for themselves. I've seen that firsthand.
When I was bludgeoned unconscious and robbed of $30,000, the police did not even show up until I had been driven to the hospital by a friend. And it was nearly 20 minutes after I was mugged before my friend arrived.
When I met with the detective asigned to my case, he told me straight out that they didn't have the money or manpower to properly handle my case. He said that most of the police emphasis was on the traffic division because that generated revenue for the Force.
My perpetrators, thanks mainly to my detective work and an anonymous phone call, were eventually apprehended. A plea bargain deal was arranged, and I got my money back.
Based on my personal experience and on other stories I have heard, I fully believe that the Las Vegas Police are indeed simply trying to extort money from Billy Walters. But what else would you expect from a government agency?
