NBA lines/buying lines

Could any of you American guys please explain to me if it's worth betting Charlotte at 1,80 with a -3,5 handicap. What would e.g. be the line/odds if I bought the points down to -3,5 with a US sportsbook?

Any feedback about buying lines would also be appreciated.

Each 1/2 point is worth about 10 cents.

Since the line is now 6, it would cost -160 or 1.625 to buy down to - 3 1/2 here.

So ... -3.5 at 1.80 is a good bet.

And likewise some of the aussie books that offer a 2 pt worse line but at evens instead of 1.91, well this is a TERRIBLE bet. It is costing you TWO points (which costs you 40cents to tease) and yet you are only getting a TEN CENT benifit. very bad bet.
