5 dimes users is it hard to access or just me ?????

I try to get into 5 dimes, it doesnt matter what time, whether I use netscape or ie5....

As we speak it has taken 20 minutes to get a partial screen up of lines.......

I put in bets yesterday that session timed out, and I never got them in......

I am just wondering if this problem is just on my end, or if others are having some kind of difficulty.

I had the same problem yesterday. Got only 2 of 9 bets I wanted to place there in.

They have lots of betting options but if you cannot get in to bet ...

I wasn't able to get in anything there this afternoon. 30 minutes later lines popped up, entered bets, and of course got error that page had expired reenter bets.....

Trying to get in again now, same problem.....

sat was impossible. i got in sunday but it was a struggle. time to call and email. it has been getting progressively slower. they have to do something. i love the book but it is my only out w/2nd half lines. tried to get in for a 2nd half play on md today and couldn't find one. i'm p1ssed.

I also had trouble all weekend. Couldn't get OSU bet down, or halftimes on PNST or MD. It seemed to get better after about 5 pm yesterday.

may a stupid ? but what kind of connection do you guys use? me i use the phone lines .just wondering if cable or some other type of connection would make a diff. or is it their just busy? also had problems until late.

I have cable - about 50 times faster than my old 56K.

I cannot imagine how anyone without cable could have gotten in this weekend - even with cable it was impossible more times than not.

I had the same problem this weekend. They do take bets over the phone if you can't access their web page.

It was unbearable over the weekend.

5dimes needs to break up their categories into:

Pro Basketball
Pro Basketball 1st Half
Pro Basketball 2nd half
College Basketball
College 1H
College 2H

When there are 60+ NCAA games, with first half and game lines, it takes forever to load a page. I have made this suggestion to 5dimes and have complained about their slow servers, but nothing has been done.

I got so sick of it Sunday that I cashed out my account. I'll come back if and when they fix their server problems.

I e-mailed them on this subject on Sunday

I got a 2 line reply stating they had a pipe problem and it would be fixed.


Still waiting for it to be fixed and this has been common play from them for over 2 weeks.

I am sure they are growing, my account would have grown with them as well, instead of staying the same.

Looking elsewhere at this time as well

I think it's an issue of their pipe being congested (with too many sportsbooks) and the head guy being out of town.

Totally unacceptable. We always talk about the important things that we look for in a book: quick payouts, good cust. service, options, etc, however we all overlook (and rightfully so) the most important attribute: Accessability. If you can't get in to make your wagers WHEN you want to make them, the book is worthless. This has been going on for too long and I have heard this from too many people. I came real close to posting up there, now I know I never will. And, if I wanted a phone-in book, 5-dimes would not be my choice....
