since the big topic right now is
    "getting paid",

    (which for the
last two years has been almost
    a non-issue, thank you)

ABC Islands has a curious notation
on their web site in the payout/rules section. The statement reads, "ABC
has the right to review all accounts
    before payment is made."

Now I have enjoyed playing at ABC
and believe they are one of the best
books around. But this type of
    statement speaks of subjectiveness
in an area where none is needed.
    What do they mean, REVIEWED??

I'd like to know - have you asked them? As always - Good Luck,

I would just call them and ask but you never know what to believe from talking to "who
knows who" in the avg. customer service
dept. of a large co. It isn't really a big issue
with me either since I'm currently at
a zero balance with them. However, I'd
like to play with them in the future and
wouldn't mind clearing this up before then.
      Soooooo, maybe their spokesman could
come in here to cover the subject.....

Now, I'm sure the rule has something to
do with fraudulent winnings or scamming
      for free bets or whatever.
ABC's rule is such a general wording that
it's impossible to tell anything about what it means, and we all know there are several books with policies in this area that to
be blunt, are quite unfair and amount to
saying, "if we deem you to be a pro we
reserve the right not to pay you".
I doubt ABC has such a biased rule.
However, having them discuss the issue in a
forum such as this would clear it up for me
      and probably others.

        Gentlemen,
We here at ABC Islands have that disclaimer on our web page for a couple of reasons.
Number one, in the event that someone should be able to hack into our system, (after last weeks problems with E-Trade, Amazon.com, Citybank in the past, ETC.We believe no one is untouchable.)we would have the right and the means to cancel those wagers.
Number two, if by some error we left a sporting event up overnight on the internet that should have gone off the board the night before, we would have the right to cancel those wagers.
Finally, we welcome "wise guy" action and general public action alike. As proof, we offer our three best references, you the bettors, Bettorsworld and Don Best. Any questions or comments, you may ask for me personally.

            i'm satisfied, thank you.
TO clarify, I've played at ABC in
the past and won't hesitate to do so
again in the future. One thing you get at ABC is good customer service which for me
keeps them near the top of my good books
            list.
I wouldn't blame anyone for taking
precautions against hackers who don't really
have much to do with sports betting in any
            way. Thanks again guys.
