  • Olympic - 100% juice!

OK, a book has to make a fir profit to stay in business - but 100% juice?!?

Olympic use to have pretty fair futures odds so I checked their NBA Western Conference odds. What I found was 100% juice!

    Their odds:

    345 San Antonio Spurs 3 to 1
    346 Los Angeles Lakers 1 to 1
    347 Portland Trail Blazers 1 to 2
    348 Utah Jazz 5 to 1
    349 Houston Rockets 50 to 1
    350 Minnesota Timberwolves 15 to 1
    351 Phoenix Suns 8 to 1
    352 Sacramento Kings 8 to 1
    353 Seattle Supersonics 20 to 1
    354 Golden State Warriors 100 to 1
    355 Dallas Mavericks 50 to 1
    356 Denver Nuggets 60 to 1
    357 Vancouver Grizzlies 125 to 1
    358 Los Angeles Clippers 85 to 1

To the math types out there this is something OVER 100% juice!

Olympic, you has always enjoyed a good reputation - but wouldn't it be better for your reputation not to post futures odds at all rather than post odds which scream, "I'm trying to rip you off BIG TIME!"

If you are not going to post fair odds, just don't post odds at all ...

Gotta be a typo...call 'em. No way these lads would make Lakers even and Portland -200. Most likely the mistake is Portland should be +200, but at any rate a call's in order. I think they'd be pleased to hear from you. Olympic is a solid shop and wouldn't intentionally put up the above.

    Cheers,
    Shawn

Olympic just "corrected" the odds on Portland Blazers to 5-8 (a little better I suppose than 1-2). Brings the juice down to "only" 75% or so ...

          mls,
For some reason US-style books don't like action on futures. Too hard to revise constantly, which is understandable considering the number of games. Euro and Aussie sports futures are suspended during the round of games, but US sports never seem to stop, NFL being the exception.
