I am not a big baseball bettor, but I do know Sterling will offer a 10 cent baseball line when the regular season starts, no matter how much you bet. I called them when I heard about the 20 cent thing in Costa Rica
a 20 cent line on baseball seems too much
for me. Only wiseguys can beat this sport
at that level, and it'll be tough for them
for sure. I think sportsbooks offering
a 20 cent line will lose business and
more importantly, the deposits of their
client base.
If a sportsbook BREAKS EVEN for june, july,
and august, and keeps the BALANCES of its
best customers until FOOTBALL season, it
should be counted as a job WELL DONE....
The sportsbook war, if you will, won't
be won by those turning a profit during
the dog days of summer. Books that keep
the 10 cent line will get all the action,
further reducing any additional profit
brought by using a 20 cent line.
The books with a 10 cent line stand to
increase their business HUGELY when others
adopt a line increase.
