Bermaker will deal a dime line

Just spoke with betmaker about something unrelated to this, and figured while I had them, I would put them on the spot.....

The told me they would be dealing a 10 cent line this baseball season........

And last year they went to a 10-cent line after having a 15-cent line the previous season. They also have a huge amount of New York guys, the sharpest bettors, playing into them. Conclusion: Betmaker is proof that the "need" to go to a 20-cent line is propaganda.

Reno, I'm the LAST guy to defend these 20-cent bastards, BUT, Betmaker takes 3 dimes side, 1 dime total, and the number moves..They can't get hurt to the extent that one of the screen books can. Some of them take humongous action on a number...

The majority of sportsbooks do not have limits any higher than Betmaker.com. Yet, they are still following the parade to the 20-cent line.

Reducing baseball limits is certainly something that these books should consider (those that lost money last year). This allows them to move the line after taking a smaller amount.

For the books that go to a 20 cent line, not only will they see a much-reduced volume, but there is another effect to consider: the play these 20-cent books will get will be predominantly one-sided.
