  • Losers Only Please!

Intertops, one of favourite books of all time gave me the boot today. No phone call. No explanation. Just an email informing me my account was closed and my balance was in the mail. Oh yes, and a threat that if I try and sneak in through a friend or alias they will confiscate my account and not payout anything that I may have won.

It suprised me a little because I heard that they didn't conduct themselves that way anymore, but I had been on quite a hot streak since the Superbowl - especially during the Tournament - so I guess I should have seen it coming.

I must say I don't understand why they jack up the dogs so high and then pitch you if you play them....well, if you play them and you win.

I joined Intertops in the first place because they came recommended here so highly and I have been a happy customer for three years. They always paid and even now that I'm being tossed there's still no question I'll get my money. I would still recommend them to anyone looking for a solid operation with numbers different from the norm.

But if they get beat on bad numbers I think they should fix the numbers and not boot winners.

    Bob,

Join the club. Intertops is sure to make the Sportsbetting Hall of Fame for most players booted. Jesus was undoubtedly talking about Intertops when he said "Forgive them, for they know not what they do."

I am a big supporter of sportsbooks in general and much prefer to praise rather than rip them. But Intertops, as always, deserves to be ripped for the unprofessional way they run their book.

This book (Intertops) Belongs in the hall of shame . 1st off they are the ONLY BOOK I KNOW THAT DOES NOT PICK UP THE WESTERN UNION FEES and they sweat the money big time almost as bad as bowmans....

Last year Hartley (I think) contacted Simon Noble or who ever runs Intertops and was assured this booting policy as a thing of the past.

Apparently SImon Noble or whoever is not really incharge anymore.

I know Intertops was killed by the Super Bowl and I guess money has become a problem.

            Any comments Bettorsworld????

If these claims are true and you say that you are here for the players -- why do u accept ad money from this company?

            Just curious.

they never ripped anyone off. that is their right. i just think that most books enjoy the challenge of sharp players and can always balance action and use the sharps to there advantage.

                  dylan,

                  Good question -

                  that would be interesting

i..e is it 5,000, or 5 figures, or low 6?
                  etc. etc.

if it was 5000 even I could be in danger in one life or other

Usually its not how much you win but who you play. Also when you play it.

They booted me in 97 and I was losing at the time. They would not give me a reason, no matter who I spoke with. Truly a disgrace.

How can you survive in Intertops? They boot you for: 1) following the steam 2) buying back against the steam. 3) simply taking good numbers. 4) winning.

If someone has figured out a formula for avoiding the boot from this sportsbook, let the readers in Bettorsworld know. Who knows, maybe there is a niche market for someone to peddle a course on the secrets of surviving in Intertops.

Ok then, I am in no danger of ever having 1 or 2 happen, as far as I can see

I am not even awake then

I actually have seen posts in other places claiming to have been booted too, but for winning at non-American sports.

So the winning amount would be interesting.

I would never be betting at times that would be suspicious, I think

What I cannot figure out is why Intertops is on Don Best's Island Express.

Any such live line service is going to attract sharp action.

On the other hand Intertops has gone back to kicking out any sharp players!

Sounds like the manager in Antigua (who decides which winners get the boot), and the CEO in Austria (who wants to see Intertops volume grow like the big boys), are not on the same page ...

I don't get it - if you win they call you a "wiseguy" and kick you out.

I asked Intertops a question - via email - and they never responded. That was enough for me.

Sure they are around a long time and have a reputation for paying - but so did a lot of other enterprises that are no longer around.

                              As always - Good Luck,
