    Brian,

Are you looking for WPS or more exotic action. We pay track odds on all class one tracks(those with average handle of a million dollars a day), but we limit all exotics to 100-1. On smaller thoroughbred tracks we pay 32 16 8 on WPS. Sports Market/Aces Gold are very popular race books. I also know of a very good book for horses that will be open in Costa Rica later this summer.

          Brian-
As you know, we at Sterling have been taking horse action "on-line" for 2 yaers and over the phone for 6 years.. Give us a shot. If your handle is large enough, we give you back 4% on all your losses..

          As always, GOOD LUCK!!!!

Carib, WSEX, Aces Gold take them over the net. Many, if not most others, take them over the phone only.

Brian If you get into betting exotics and want to bet wheels, part wheels and keys it is impossible to do with out numerous tickets taking forever. The books are great for wps but if you get into serious horse betting to need to set up account at Capitol OTB or Philly Park.I prefer Capitol because they do not charge per race day fee.
After account is set up you have deposit and withdrawal slips just like at a bank, again no fees.Always pay track odds.
One negative: They will 1099 you on anything big.

I have been looking forward to some of the offshore online racebooks taking the North American Australian Racing. It is very popular in the states as they have full fields and race at night.

Carib said they would offer it in January, but have yet failed to do so. And Aces Gold said they too would offer it in February.

There may be some confusion for the books regarding getting the offtimes and prices. However, they are mistaken as both Supertote and Racingchannel cover the live odds, post times, and results, thus leaving no excuse. All the major telephone services take it, along with youbet.

It would seem like a good opportunity for late night action, as well that there take outs are ridiculous, 24% approx on exactas, and 27% on Tris.

Only Sterling has had the initiative to take Australian wagering, and while I do not like there set-up compared to WSEX, CARIB, ACES Gold, and they don't offer int'l tris at least they offer it.

Although they cut off the post to early, and as their system is difficult to place wagers online this could cause problems getting all your bets in.

Still Props to Sterling, and to all you other books who offer racing OLYMPIC, Grand Central, Aces Gold, WSEX, you are missing out on a great opportunity.

Here's another novel idea - offtrack betting. Actually, horseplayer interactive (www.675bets.com) takes bets from anywhere in North America and offers wagering on any track that is being simulcast at Woodbine (usually New York, California, Florida and Kentucky as well as Woodbine of course), but also offer wagering from Hong Kong and Australia.

The one caveat however, is that you are betting into local pools rather than comingling with the tracks offering the bets. Right now the betting is over the phone but they expect to be online by the end of this year. Also capitalotb.com is now online as well although I don't know what tracks they offer outside of New York.
