Reno, you hit the nail on the head, again. You're absolutely right that the astute BM welcomes the buy back that scalpers bring to balance their load.

ps- I'm also a fan of Rodney D.

Reno, guys, I really don't bet on US sports so forgive my lack of insight. If the Pokers make such big plays and require so many people to move money for them, then wouldn't it be better for them to simply set up their own sportsbook operation?

They could then make an opinion and offer a half-point or so the other way to get the one-sided action they want. I'm sure they'd also get some action on the side they don't want anyway, meaning a little vig for them as well.

If you think about it, their action as a sportsbook would be at evens, while they would only need to pay out their losses at -110 or -105 (for dime lines).

Cons, the Poker Players are a nationwide network. It would be unfeasible for all of them to pack their bags and head to Costa Rica to open a sportsbook.

When you make mega-millions like these guys do, why change anything?

OK, I basically thought that the Pokers were a few dozen very "successful" people who have hundreds or thousands of people move money for them around the country. Dealing with all these people and straightning financial matters with each and every one must be quite an effort in itself.

By setting up their own sportsbook, they wouldn't need to deal with the hundreds/thousands runners (is that what they're called?), but instead all the action would come to them. I just figured it would be so much easier...

Plus if they're earning millions, they might as well invest in some beachfront property in Antigua and head on down to the Caribbean.

DoggieStyle...You didnt do your homework in compiling your list of thievs. I'm on a couple lists but not one of yours. In every job I have had in LV(including some you dont know about) my employer ALWAYS got 1st count. References on my resume include hotel owners, GBC employees, heads of security and a couple of B**** Book members. My honesty is beyond reproach in the right circles but mabey not yours. Dont bother with a nasty reply, you cant top what you already posted. Besides, You are a huge favorite in the mud slinging gutter...Scotty Schettler
