  • An open letter to sportsbooks...

I've just finished reading Boomer's post and the whole situation p*sses me right off. It seems that every couple of weeks someone is getting screwed big time by some sportsbook.

Why can't the reputable books out there get together and police the industry. We know who you are for the most part and so do you. Start up a website on a par with Bettorsworld and only let the good guys list there. If you did that I would play exclusively with the books on the list as I'm sure would virtually everyone else who reads Bettorsworld.

It's bad enough worrying about who's going to win the big game tonight without also having to worry about whether YOUR money will still be in your account in the morning.

As an aside, I don't know the ins and outs of the industry such as who owns which books. I don't have the time or the inclination for that sort of thing. I do know that I use Island Casino as an out and I have always been paid by them. They are irritating in the sense that they only pay out once a week and sometimes it takes them a little longer than that to get my money to me. But it has always arrived.

I know that the books are solid on don best and those are the ones that i trust. Does anyone know of anyone being stiffed by one of don best's books????

like2bet2, I think the same can be said for the Bettorsworld books.

If a book from either of these sets goes bad, most likely you'll first see them disappear from "The List" here and from the Don Best feed.

Was Dial-a-Bet on the Don Best feed when they shut down and stiffed everyone?

I can tell you that Dana is very diligent and keeps a close watch on the books on his Screen. Although that is no guarantee against a stiff, it dramatically reduces the odds. He constantly talks to insiders in the industry to get a feel for what is going on with sportsbooks.
