Even before the new IslandXpress service becomes available for free, it would be helpful to know what books will be listed there. Do you anticipate roughly the same set as now, or any additions/deletions?

My monthly subscription for island express expires in a week. Should I pay for a whole month starting with June22? If so, will I get a refund from when the time the service becomes free? I will do whatever has to be done. I just would like to know what to do. .....Thanks

Hope you're doing well. Could you tell me in great detail what some of the new features will be on the premium service. I couldn't imagine improving the service except maybe to add more books and showing a blind guy like me how to fit more on a page and still see them.

Every book I've ever had has had 1,2 or 3 DB screens. In your opinion do you service more books than customers. % estimates?????

A quick note. So many of these sportsbooks use this ticker feature and it not only slows down the betmaking process, but causes computer freezes also. I just find that it is very problematic in many areas.

Can you have a feature that turns off the ticker thing as I am very concerned that this ticker may cause problems and not let me use the features I care about most: line movement.

Dana, here's one for the wish list:

The "Custom" feature is a life saver when things are moving all over the place, as it allows one to focus on just the games he is tracking.

I'd like to be able to further specify side or total of each game, and only have the beeps when the designated one moves.

The sound problem you refer to in your reply to JD apparently has not been fixed for Netscape versions 4.08 and higher running on Windows98. The sound will work for awhile and then go silent. There is no fixed period of time, but I notice that it will cut off sooner if the board is very active with changes. Maybe the browser cache has a 500 "ding" limit or something, but if it is a cache buffer problem, it should be fixed to refresh itself.

I find myself having to close all Java windows and browser windows and let the system refresh itself, which often takes several minutes (not good during crunch time). So if my screen falls silent at 6:50 ET (3:50 PT), I just have to rely on visuals until after the first games start and then find a window of time to let the system refresh. Sometimes this will require a complete restart of the system.

I hope this information is helpful to you in your search for a solution. Could you please let us know if this is fixable?
