Dont use paradise poker.com. They are cheaters. They rake the pot too much and players known as shills are in there. They will swear up and down that they are for real but dont forget they are in another country where USA rules dont apply. They stole almost 800 from me and i am a pretty good poker player and can hold my own in some big games. Let me know if anyone else has this problem.

Maybe its just me but I wouldn't play poker online even if I was a lot more comfortable with the software. A lot of the fun of poker is holding the cards, watching people's faces etc.
In any case be careful of poker.com as well. The stock is currently trading on the pink sheets for pennies because it hasn't met NASDAQ OTC requirements. I'd be a little concerned about collecting from a company like that - with the current status they could fold up at any time.

Being a computer major in college, and knowing how to program somewhat, you will never talk me into spending my money on online card games. I wasted $900 on them a couple years ago just to see how they worked. No matter what they say, these games can be programmed to take your cash. It can be a simple equation or a complex algorithym. Nonetheless, programmers have the ability to set these games to their specifications. No one has to believe my 'conspiracy theory', but I know what computer programmers are capable of.

I was told a story from my local outlet about 3 of his clients who got into the online poker business right after it came out and used cell phones to work together. These clients supposedly made $70,000. They only stopped when they started losing. No matter what kind of hand they got they were constantly getting beat. They suggest someone on the inside started fixing games. No one knows for sure but it would make sense. They were up over $100,000 when they started the losing streak. They couldn't even win when all four were playing at the same table. I say just play it smart and don't play online.
