  • Bowmans limit on Tiger is $14!

Bowmans website has Tiger listed at 7-1 after 2 rounds (5 shots behind).

I called and asked for the "limit".

I was told the limit was to "win $100", or anotherwards $14!

I can't believe that last year I regularly bet 5-10 dimes a football game at that place ...

You can't bet it because they have a $20 minimum.

Now, it is a definite worry if the maximum bet is too small for me even at times

        Dear MLS

After reading your post in this forum, we have reviewed the tapes and would like to clarify the facts on this matter.

We agree that the operator did state to you that the limit was to win $100. You then asked to speak to a supervisor. In your conversation you were then told that the limit was to win $500. Please be assured that the operator in question has been told of her mistake(and we all know that mistakes can and do happen), and we will be monitoring her calls to make sure this does not happen again.

Bowmans would also like to relay the complete facts of the call, as we think your post is very misleading.

Once you had talked to the Supervisor, it was determined that you were allowed to win $500 on Tiger Woods @ 7/1,(which is correct)to which you replied that it was not worth your time and efforts. We then listened to a further call that shows that you placed a bet on Tiger Woods @ 7/1 for $50 to win $350.

Why complain about the limits when you didn't actually play a limit bet?

We feel that posting on Forums such as this with untrue facts about any sportsbook, just makes you look foolish. Your credibility obviously now has been challenged, and also hurts the reputation of this forum.

Bowmans wishes you the best of luck with all your future bets.

        Bowman International.

In addition to a faulty "live odds" screen which is actually "up to 30 minutes delayed" per your employee, your tape system is faulty.

Actually I made 3 calls. On the second when advised of the "new" $500 win limit - meaning I could bet $75 or so - you will hear that I said "it is not worth my time" and I hung up.

On the third call "my son" did call and place a $50 bet on Tiger.

Bowmans, a maximum $75 bet on Tiger Woods is ridiculous. If you don't want action don't waste everyones time by posting props.

Bowmans used to be a solid outfit that would take a decent size bet. I expected and wanted at least a $500 bet on Tiger.

Now you understand why I requested my entire balance of $7000 (less $1000 "play money") be wired to me on June 26th.

And by the way Bowmans, why has that $7000 bank wire I paid $50 for not been received yet??

This post has got me so upset that I'm just gonna chill out by lighting up an El Tigre (Tiger in Spanish), Gary Bowman's latest cigar--which is dedicated to big-time golf punters.

MLS - In plain english THEY ARE F.....P WITH YA. A friend of mine who was on there third set lets call them wiseguy-wiseguy lines asked for a bank check for which he paid a fee for and it took 8 days to get. Same thing they did not like him and f.....d with him.

Reno- You have me laughing again. The best though was your suggestion for a cigar that has a tracking chip so Bowman's can find you instead of calling family members at home and telling them your last $50 bet you were given the wrong line. LOL

And Bowmans, please don't tell me you had the "wrong" wire instructions since you successfully wired me $9000 a month ago with the exact same instructions.

Why did I withdraw $9000 then another $7000, leaving only $1000, last month from Bowmans? Maybe because they can only stand to lose $500 on a Tiger Woods bet ...

Why have $17000 in your account when Bowmans limits bets to $75!

                  Sad, sad, sad ...

Bowmans offers some good juicy stuff sometimes, unfortunately much like intertops, their limits make them basically worthless as an out for anyone wishing to bet more than "play money"

                    reno, you crack me up.

Krackman, the post thread that you are referring to, the one pertaining to the tracking chip, is still a real sore spot with me. In that thread, if you recall, Bowman's actually had the audacity to question my sexual exploits in Asia.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I was utterly devastated by such questioning. As Bettorsworld members already know, without my Viagra I'm nothing. Furthermore, I already suffer from exceedingly low self-esteem. Consequently, it should come as no surprise that when Bowman's doubted the veracity of my Asian sexual conquests, I went into a very deep funk. In other words, because of them, I not only suffer from a perverted proclivity to teeny-bopper femme-fatale wannabes, I also now suffer from a crushed ego.

The upshot of the psychological damage that Bowman's inflicted on me is this: Instead of my needing a half-dozen sessions with "the Shrink" to cure my unhealthy craving for luscious young femmes, I also will need an addition half-dozen to resurrect my devastated ego. The bottom line is that Bowmans' assault on my libido is going to double my therapy bill. Consequently, maybe they should consider covering half the cost--especially since, contrary to popular opinion, "the Shrink" charges a pretty penny for his counseling sessions. Hey, where's Kelvin? Maybe he can get me a discount.

                        MLS,

I agree, the limits at Bowmans are ridiculously low.

I bet their limits got that way because they have been getting murdered at Golf and NASCAR. Not really your problem I suppose, still seems like they are getting kicked while they are down.

As a player, I would prefer they take some action, but understand they have business decisions to make.

A slow bank wire is another story.

Been getting murdered at golf and NASCAR lately....

Let's hear it for them - 1,2,3, ohhhhhhhh.

Get new staff, get the current ones to get out of the Mauritian pubs and do some proper research, or starting cloning sharper lines. When you've worked hard to get the client base (and reputation?) they had, it's like giving the company an acid bath.

There are too many other solid places out there that I can bet online with, or freecall from the rest of the world, without me needing to use this sloppy outfit.

I think it is unprofessional for Bowmans to post information on the betting activity of one of their customers on a public forum.
I know Bowmans was trying to prove a point but they could have just said that MLS placed a bet for less than the limit rather than using exact numbers.
It is not big deal but it is a slippery slope. I think betting records should be treated like medical records. I can tell people about my medical records if I want but I don't want someone else telling people.
