I see that bettorsworld gives us links to these "Main Street Books". Do they consider them legitimate or do they just pay bettorsworld to be on the list? I notice that CRIS isn't on the list and they are obviously a pretty sound outfit. Could anyone elaborate on this for me?

What does it mean for a sportsbook to listed in the "Main Street Books" section?

Main Street books are a subset of "The List" who have paid Bettorsworld a premium for advertising. Should you ever have a beef with one on the Main Street books that you cannot resolve directly with the office, you can contact Jeff and he will inquire into the matter. Thankfully I've never needed to ask Jeff to look at a beef myself, but from what I've heard players with legitimate grievances have had problems solved this way.

Jeff, do you talk with the owners/managers of all these offshores? Have you ever NOT let any books who wanted to pay BW to advertise on this list?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but as you can tell from my posts I'm looking to join a couple of new offshores. I just haven't heard of a lot of the books on this list and don't want to put my money in an unstable operation.
Thanks for all your help

Highroller, yes, we have turned down several books.
And, yes, we frequently speak with many of the shops and have visited most of them. Many of them also take the time and courtesy to respond to their clients and potential clients here in the forum.
However, I will tell you what I tell anyone who asks. Don't listen to me. Don't take my word for gospel. Take anything I say and anything you see on Bettorsworld and check it out. Ask around. Double check and triple check. Ask the visitors of this site for their opinions. They're a sharp bunch. At that point, you'll have all the info you need to make an educated decision on where to send your money.
