  • question about a bet

    ok here is my question.
say if a sportsbook has some future odds up for an event. other books also have futures up for this event. but at sportsbook A, the odds are out of whack..meaning real good for the bettor..while at books B and C..they are correct/normal. so if i make a bet with sportsbook A, will they honor the bet? or can they say there was a mistake with the odds and cancel the play. or will it depend on the sportsbook.
    just curious. thanks.

Futures vary alot. I would say almost any futures line within reason should stand. If Cincinnati was on a win streak and the futures weren't updated daily or weekly, you have the right to jump on it as long as it isn't an obvious typo. It's up to the books themselves to update their futures on a regular basis.

Dobie Gillis was one of my favorite TV shows. In fact, I like most of the old TV shows better than what's on the tube now. TV, with its endless and unbearable commercials, sucks today. In fact, I don't even own a TV anymore. If I want to watch a sports event, I go to a bar or sportsbook.

Dylan, it does depend on the sportsbook.

Check the archives, there is a lot of discussion on this one. Some books feel that it is in their rights to cancel a wager made with a bad line. A smaller group of books believe it is OK to wait until the event is over and then decide which bets to cancel.
