  • no juice or points

I Will be betting exactly 10 sides in the NFL per week when the regular season starts. The 10 games could include other games besides the Sunday rotation. I will bet the same amount on each game(between 500 and 1000, haven't yet decided). My question is would I be better off at Aces Gold with the no juice on Fridays, plus beween 15 and 20 % bonus money, or getting a local store to give me a half point across the board to get my action.

      IBTom,

Why in the world would you plan to bet exactly ten games per week?

The half-point thing is an old bookie's trick. Agree with Ronbets that you might as well go Aces Gold--and if you're a big favorite player you might even think about Carib's two cent Tuesdays (which I'm inquiring about on another thread) so as to take a lead or two that might get you under a key number.

Go with your local and then find some other book and start to middle some games-is this ibtom from n.c.

IB Tom, same question someone had last year. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Take the free juice. No half-point in the NFL, other than on or off '3,' is worth 10-cents. Movingmoney can't be serious. Aside from around '3,' NFL middles aren't great. Furthermore, they're tough to get nowadays unless you have an oblivious private out in Podunk who has never heard of Don Best.

Reno-what would you say if your local guy was offering no juice and a chance to move the game a 1/2 point if you bet like IBTOM says 10 games on a sunday morning. I would jump at this chance if your local man pays IBTOM i think its a gold mine for you.

IB THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING PROPOSITION
AND ONE THAT I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE AVAILABLE
TO ME. I ASSUME YOUR LOCAL OUT IS REPUTABLE,
AND WORKS A CREDIT LINE FOR YOU. THAT BEING SAID, IT'S A NO-BRAINER I GO WITH THE LOCAL IN A HEART BEAT. I UNDERSTAND THERE ARE SOME VERY GOOD LOCAL BOOKS GOING TO THIS FORMAT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. BEST WISHES, MISTY.

Movingmoney, if the local guy is offering no juice and the chance to move the line one-half point, I would suggest that the local guy is completely crazy and that he need some sessions with the "Shrink." No BM in his right mind would offer that kind of deal. That is insanity, especially if he lets you move off '3.'

Misty, as I already stated, no number other than '3' is worth more than 10-cents. Therefore, on any number other than '3,' you are better off to forego the juice and keep the number rather than pay the juice and get the half-point. However, now that I think about it more, because IBTom can choose 10 games, on some Sundays where several games are between 2.5 and 3.5, he would be better off with the free half-point than with the free juice. Also, because the half-points off numbers like 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, and 14 are worth close to 10-cents, by choosing those games to supplement the ones around '3,' he loses little versus the free-juice deal. Consequently, I can't disagree with your choice to take the half-point deal. It may indeed be the right choice.

The man says he's betting 10 sides in the NFL per week. Come on Reno, you were right the first time. This man comes off as a handicapper not a middler.

Ronbets, in my opinion, it's a very close call. Whether he's middling or playing makes no difference; the value of a number doesn't change. The main determining factor is how many of the ten games have pointspreads in the 2.5 to 3.5 range. And because that is indeterminable in advance, concluding which offer to take is not easy.

IBTOM 5 GOOD REASONS TO PLAY A/GOLD.

                        #1 You will get paid.

                        #2 They won't quit you.

                        #3 A/Gold won't get busted.

                        #4 No negative claims.

#5 Most importantly with bonuses and no juice, you're comparable to a good BJ counter versus a single deck. A positive expectation.

Your only consideration for a local BM would be the credit aspect. It's a negative betting scheme you're proposing with him.

Good night, because mine was ruined by Oakland in the 9th.

Ronnie my boy, there is one word that describes all successful business relationships. "TRUST"
I don't care if the individual is located around the corner or on some remote island.
You seem to infer that the only honest people happen to live outside the U.S. borders. That's pure 100% sludge. Please
enlighten me as to why it would be in my best interests to forego a local store that I've done business with for fifteen years, who has never failed to pay me in cash on the exact day that was agreed upon, who has never ask me leave his store, who continues to function like the honest, ethical person he is inspite of a speed bump with the local police, who backs up all conversations with with tape to protect all parties involved, for some third world business man who could care less about me? Yes and when all is said and done the availability of credit is very nice. BTW the Yankee ninth was just what the good doctor prescribed. Toodles, Misty

                            Miss Tee,

I'm so in awe of you. You have an honest good ole BM that's been doing business on you for 15 years. Have you been playing props such as this for all that time?

You sound like a losing player to me. No, no, that's being to crude. You sound like a player thats been on a 15 year losing streak.

You and the readers ask yourself these questions while playing this type of prop.

#1 I had a monster week and a few games fell on the #. Who do I want to owe me A/G or local?

#2 I practically sweep the board 2 consecutive weeks. Who"s likely to quit me?

#3 Who's likely to get busted?--Forget it, out price. What about my play. The law took all the work.

#4 Claims. How about local wiretaps? "Shoot, I'm only a bettor." With all that play you sound like a BM laying off.

Misty, where's the main ingredient you failed to address. The best deal for IBTom. Trust has nothing to do with math. You don"t have to attend M.I.T. to figure out the best choice for him do we? Reno, get off the Johnny Walker Black.
IBTom I hope you"re worth the argument because I have nothing else to add!

P.S. Misty keep laying that chalk. After a while it will taste like Mylanta.

Any comments on this post please carefully read IBToms intentions. Thanks Ron

Looks as though I'm going to put my plays in with Aces Gold. I really have become spoiled to the professionalism of the offshores. I probably will buy off some half points especially off 3, 6 & 7. I'll have a hard time not doing this knowing Im saving the juice on all the other games. I think I'm going to play for 500 a game because I'm going to have some money at SIA and they are well known to have heavy numbers on the favs, but their limits can only be counted on for only 500. Plus the first time out of the shoot with this 10 sides a week stuff I would rather error on the side of being to conservative. So I might take a +4 at SIA instead of +3 at Aces Gold. Does this sound like a reasonable compromise? I'm suprised I didn't hear more form you on why in the world I would bet exactly 10 sides a week. We'll to tell you the truth I don't know myself. I just know that the handicapper I use is the best I've ever run accros in the NFL and he says he is on to something and has backtracked it for three years and it is coming out +35 units a year or so. I asked him why he didn't go back farther and he said it was too much work. I think I would of made the time to go back further. He lives in my hometown and I usually pay him in person unlike most of his clients who are scattered across the country. So when I see him I'm going to ask if he would mind if I posted the plays here. The first week I will be on a cruise leaving Fri. so hopefully I will be able to find a Kinkos or somewhere that I can use a computer Fri morning. I remember Aces Gold not liking to take phone action. Is that still the way, or will they accomadate me on this one weekend if I would happen to have a hard time getting to a computer? Thanks for the above replies.
