    sportshobby --

no, they don't seem to be accepting credit cards online yet. they take western union but i filled out those forms you mentioned. it was kind of a pain but it didn't take that long.

just make sure you get the bonuses. i opened the account with $300 and got $30 bonus and the free $50 superbowl bet. that's like getting +25%!!!!

After my Bettorsworld post complaining about the $1500, they have since been accepting all of my $3,000 bets.

Sportshobby, I don't know what they take online on baseball totals, but over the phone they take a dime.

Reno, thanks. I know some are wondering why I don't just pick up the phone and ask VC what their limits are. But I believe that any book should have reasonable advertised limits that are good for anyone. By either having the book post their limits publicly, or by asking other players what are their limits, one can determine whether he is being treated fairly.

Those do seem to be reasonable limits. I hope in time they can extend their online limits to be similar to the phone limits. But I do understand the need to first gain confidence in a web-based setup through lots of testing.

Just tested some of there online limits, not much is on the board. This is what I found:

Tiger Woods to win the Grand Slam next year at 16-1: Limit $100

Any Tennis Player to win the US Open: Limit $100

Al Gore to be the next President: Limit $100

LA Clippers to win the NBA Championship: Limit $100 (They might want to raise the limit on this one)

Columbus Blue Jacket to Win Stanley Cup : Limit $100.

Redskins ov 11.5 Wins: Limit $100

Looks like their online limit for Props is $100.

Just went to their website to place a bet online and saw "$50 free bet" posted.

I called and asked what's up and they said that they're offering a free $50 bet for all new account openings.

With their new minimum of $100 thats like a 50% bonus!!!!

I don't know about Western Union, you'll have to call them.

I use a bank wire -- it takes two days.
