  • Don't be fooled!!!!

My name is Doug Davidson, I am the Customer Service Manager for Horizon Sports located in San Jose, Costa Rica. It has come to my attention that a group who used to be called Action Sports has reopened using our name and is trying to mislead players using our reputation. Please don't be fooled, the real Horizon Sports listed on the Cream of the Crop here at Bettorsworld is found at www.bethorizon.com.

I have been following this forum since it's Oddswiz days and corresponded with Jeff many times since that time. While we have serviced players for quite a while by Telephone, this past year is our first foray offering our on-line wagering to the general public
If you have any questions about our services, please post them here as I will be monitoring this as well as other forums. Posters who know me or that have played with me include Rawhide, Hamhog, Bookybasher, and the Devil. There are others I have chatted with like Reno, and Lance (skybook).
Any one of these posters I would welcome comments from on myself or our book.

Jeff, thanks for everything, the link is going up this week on our site.

    Good Luck to all

I recently spoke with Doug for the first time, and I was favorably impressed. Because there is only a month left in baseball, I'm not looking to add more books right now. However, if I do baskets, I'll definitely post-up with Horizon. And if I don't do baskets, I'll post-up with with them next baseball season. Doug has been around the offshore industry for quite awhile and has an excellent reputation. And he assured me that his book takes decent-size pops and is not clone joint that constantly updates off the Don Best screen.

      Reno,
I really enjoy reading your posts here.
With the baseball season winding down, will you continue to look for scalps in other sports(such as hockey), or will you try to grind out straight plays?

Bman66, I probably won't do anything during basketball/hockey season unless I'm able to get certain college basketball plays. If I'm able to get the plays, I may also give Slam Dunk's service a shot and do a little middling/scalping in baskets and hockey.

Reno, if you join my service, you may lose interest in scalping.

However, I may have to require that you do some volunteer work for the SAVE THE SQUARES
          foundation.

Thanks for the warning Doug. I recieved their flyer in the mail today. Can't understand why they would use your good name. I don't want to plug them but will post their web-site and phone # if anyone wants it.

Slam Dunk, from all indications you are a straight shooter with compassion and humility. Most touts or guru-types wouldn't dare to publicly ask how much a point in NBA totals is worth, but you did. And that earns my respect. It is obvious from your posts that you are passionately committed to your handicapping. And if I decide to bother with baskets, I plan on giving your service a shot. The only concern I have--and correct me if I'm wrong--is that you seem to be into angles (or trends). And I never found any NBA angles, other than ones based on days of rest, that consistently won. And even those eventually stopped winning when the betting line adjusted. I do hope that if you use angles that they merely serve as an adjunct to a mathematically-based system.

                  Mojo,

We offer all the futures, but we don't load them on-line into the software because they would then have to stay there the whole year. You can call us and get them faxed to you anytime.
You have to become a client to access the wagering software.

                  Doug

I just received my advertising package in the mail from "Horizon International Sportsbook and Casino." It is addressed to "Dear Valued Action Sports Customer", and states that they have taken over Action Sports' customer base. They claim to honor all previous balances at Action Sports.

                    Boomer, here's your chance.
