Halftime Lines?

Recently developed interest in them, been fiddlin' with a promising angle.

Have a great db of gamelogs and boxes in which to "prove out" theories.

Would greatly appreciate opinions on the following: How much does the first half score influence the second half line?

If a -7 HM FAV was leading by 20 would the (halftime) line be significantly different than if the game was more/less tied at half?
How 'bout if the HM FAV was DOWN 20 at half, what would that do to second half number?

As I said, any primer on this subject, greatly appreciated.

The -7 home fave up by 20 at the half might be Pick or a small fave for the 2nd half. If the -7 favorite is losing by 20, they might be something like -7 in the 2nd half. Read "The Half Book" to get answers to questions like that. Available from Gamblers Book Club.
