As always a good read by Frank Rosenthal. If I could add on to what Frank said about Jim Feist. A long time ago a sportsbook supervisor told me that Feist was a gambling degenerate. The supervisor told me, "Feist never won anything here, we welcomed his action". Then Feist got the idea of selling his monkey picks to the "sucker that is born every minute".

I don't know if it's true, but a guy told me that Wayne Root actually has a shrine in his house dedicated to Jim Feist, whom he considers his role model. Maybe this is something worth investigating by the Save the Squares Foundation.
