  • Don Best Sports Football Schedule

OK you have set the industry standard and are the schedule of choice. Sat football card takes up 7 pages because of 1/3 schedule 2/3 ads on the pages. I know these schedules are free, but 7 pages to get the days games in is a bit much.

Randyrohm.....I couldn't agree with you more. It would be easier to just print out the schedule from another website. It used to be 3 pages for college and one page for pros. Now its 5 or 6 pages for college and 2 for pros. Even the one Thursday game needs a whole page by itself. Personally, it's ridiculous.

Unfortunately, we now live in an ultra-commerical Brave New World. For proof, look no further than the new and "improved" Bettorsworld. Luckily, I'm almost immune to the commercial anything-to-make-a-buck mentality. However, I do want the offshore books that peruse this forum to know that for a measly dime, I'm willing to tatoo their name and logo on my body and show it off while I'm combing the SoCal beaches in search of hot bikini beach bunnies to work at Boomer's bar.

ack! Reno you are selling out for a dime?
Anyone want to start up a collection for Reno's tattoo, I don't see why we couldn't just plaster, "VISIT WWW.BETTORSWORLD.COM FOR ALL YOUR HANDICAPPING NEEDS" on your back (and legs I guess if we run outta room).
I think beach-goers might be a great "untapped" market for bettorsworld.

        I'm in for a Franklin..

          Idea....
Get some scissors. Cut out the rotation. Tape it. Print it.
There U have it. No ads.

Of course the schedule would run even nicer if 8-10 crap teams weren't added to the board every year. I'm sure we all would not be able to contain our grief if we couldn't play Arkansas St, Louisiana Monroe, Buffalo, North Texas, Utah St, Connecticut, etc. Who determines what new teams get to spam the rotation every year, and what's the line on Muhlenberg vs Prairie View A&M?

I can't understand why anyone would cry about a free schedule. Does anyone here have any idea how much it cost to print schedules? Somewhere between 8 + 10 cents a piece. Maybe more for the small guys. That doesn't include postage. Advertising pays for those free schedules.

                Landau,

How dare you lump the University of
Buffalo Bulls in the same catagory as
those other worthless teams! So what
                they've been outscored 122-7 their
first 2 games. Take whoever they're
playing minus the number, and you are
guaranteed at least one win each Saturday.

OK, I've got the solution. Don Best could offer a "premium" subscription for rotation schedules, for a fee, with no advertising.

Actually, there's a $2US $3CAN cover price on the National Edition. More claims than "Ripleys". No different than the other schedule.

Until I switch back to Premium for hoops, and IX is still free, I'm not gonna bitch and moan. As far as I'm concerned, the world's greatest handicappers can be found there.......................Bless me father for I have sinned...................

kind of off topic, but when can we expect the new and improved premium service, with the new features ??

My copy of the schedule has all the Saturday college games on 3 pages with no ads. It's marked "Special Edition" on the cover.

Ahem $port$bank, I was not the first to blast the Bulls in here. And eventually they will be good value +73 vs someone....Will you be tailgating at the UConn game this Saturday?...Can anyone answer my previous question? Who is responsible for spamming the college football and basketball rotation with 8-10 new garbage teams every year? Who decides what teams go on the board, and why can't it be limited to the top 10 conferences?

Scott Landau/ With more and more Div ll schools moving up for the bigger payday, they 're available. I'm assuming LVSC makes #s on all Div l games, consults with the influential casinos or books and the schedule maker complies. Maybe someone from one of the above could confirm this? There was a problem a few years back with the Ivys.
