  • World Wide''s Hockey Lines

I'm certainly an ignoramus when it comes to hockey. I never played the game and I never handicapped it. The only thing I know about hockey pucks is what I learned from Don Rickles.

Because I know zilcho about hockey, I am requesting that compassionate Bettorsworld members enlighten me about a hockey wagering enigma that has me scratching my head. To be frank, I am completely confused as to why a sportsbook--World Wide Wagering to be specific--would offer a a 30-cent line on hockey sides and a 20-cent line on totals. I mean, what could be the rationale for doing this? An explanation will be greatly appreciated because all that my head scaratching has yielded is dandruff on my fingers.

All I can tell you is that any book that deals a 30 cent hockey line is ripping you off. Most books offer a 20 center, some deal the American "split" line: Minus 1, plus 1/2. which also sucks. Places like Olympic, WSEX, and Premiere offer a straight money line as well.

Tim, although I know little about hockey, I did scalp and middle it last season. I do play into Premiere, WSEX, and around 30 other books, so I do see a wide variety of hockey lines. However, prior to World Wide, I never saw a book with a 30-cent line on sides and a 20-cent line on totals.

The places who can get away with it, will. Had an account at this joke called Paradise Casino; they had FORTY cent sides and totals. When I told them that it was unacceptable, they said that being a "preferred customer", they would offer me THIRTY cents. Needless to say, I immediately closed THAT one. In the past, I've seen 20 cent side and thirty cent totals. I've heard that the WWW owner is a bit "different"...
