Lately I’ve been reading a lot of questions and opinions on the subject of loyalty towards a Sportsbook on many posting forums. People question whether they should re-deposit with their book and receive a small bonus or open a new account at another and receive a large bonus. This question of loyalty is not uncommon among players, so I thought I’d let you know my opinion.
Loyalty is a two way street. It does not only depend on the player, it also depends on the book. Offering you just bonuses or promotions does not prove our loyalty to you. It’s about excellent customer service, independent odds, being able to deal with the people in charge, having your problems/needs solved in a timely manner. In one word it’s all about COMPROMISE. And compromise means doing your part of the bargain and keeping the other party happy.

I personally have always thought that the customer - company relationship should be based on trust, quality, efficiency and most important of all, ethics. Many people will ask themselves, how can there be ethics in an industry like this? If I had touched the subject 5 years ago, most of you would be laughing out loud. But we have started to see a difference; we are starting to see a change in the industry. The key is in knowing how to run a company. The fact that you were a bookie, an excellent line manager or that you lived in Las Vegas does not qualify you to manage and run a company, especially in this kind of business where you are responsible for large sums of money. There are many factors that will help a company grow and gain the trust of both the customers as well as its advertising partners. Some of those factors include the company’s administrative structure, its legal status, the kind of marketing and advertising campaigns it develops, its presence on major gambling related “Internet Watchdogs”, the quality and efficiency of its customer service department and most important of all: its Payouts. It doesn’t matter how big or famous you are, you will always be judged based on your payouts. A company that pays out when it’s supposed to has won half the battle. People will learn to trust in it and most importantly they will talk about it. And as we all know, there is no better advertising than “Word of Mouth Advertising”.
