Carib or Caribi?

I have just noticed that there are 2 different sportsbooks with very similar names. There is Caribi Sportsbook which is on the DonBest Island Express and then there's another one called Carib Sportsbook (notice the "i" left out). I wanted to know which one is the original and who is copying who.

Boy, now there is a question. The answer is they are both original. Jon Rogers started Carib in Antigua around '95. Monty started Caribi last year. Monty however got the name not from Carib but from Don Best. For years when Monty was running the lines at CRIS, his numbers were published on Don Best and other line services as Caribi, which I think was just what would fit from Caribbean. Back then CRIS was known as THE Caribbean Line. So when Monty left CRIS to start his own book, he already had an identity on Don Best as Caribi, so that's what he called his book.

I hope this helps and I am sure I will stand corrected on some of the facts, but we will see.
