Anyone else have a mysterious charge appear on their CC from Netpro? Haven't used the CC since I used it 2 months ago. But a charge appears from a London based company, last week.

I used Olympic. THere were 2 charges for a total of $300+. My credit card company cancelled my account and is issuing a new cc to me. They said it waw from London. I am defintely contesting the charges.I believe this has to do with the recent e-payment solution mess.

A friend of mine recently asked me to look into NetPro as his CC was also charged.
The company is an American company, and only its sales line is in the UK. It is also this number that appears on your CC bill making you think it's British.
The web site of the company is www.netproltd.com , and I've been told to email all billing enquiries to accounting@netproltd.com
Hope this helps, and I hope we get to the bottom of this. I take it this whole thing is connected to some sportsbook, though without his consent I won't post the two books that my friend has played with.

I got my money back(with little less change) and I am changing my card. Those chargers are coming from Netpro but actually they are just credit card company.I was with contact with them today and they said that the charge is coming from FRAUD PEOPLE called themself winnersbook.com,located in Costa Rica,
there were thousands of people charged and the funky numbers are coming from exchange rates.
What I think happened was those people were working for sportsbook somewhere, they had info on lot a credit cards, they try to open a sportsbook and try to make bysness with Netpro for a day or two, charge thousands of people and run with the money...I THINK EVERYONE THAT HAS CHARGE OF THAT TYPE SHOULD CHANGE THAT CARD FOR NEW ONE...

It depends on what your bank's policies are when it comes to dodgy CC charges.
In Europe citizens get a lot more protection from fraud. I never worry about giving my CC number or even my SSN. If someone uses either, I don't care. It's not my problem, and I won't lose a penny no matter what happens.
But if your bank provides you little or no protection against actions like these, then you have no choice but to change cards.
On a side note, which sportsbook's employee ran with the CC numbers? My friend has never given his number on the phone, but has always made deposits via the internet. Whatever book caused this leak offers no protection whatsoever to our CC numbers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM NET PRO LTD.
This is to serve as a follow-up and clarification to all of the aforementioned comments and concerns surrounding any fraudulent charges, etc., through Net Pro Ltd.
Last week our fraud department discovered some irregular patterns with a merchant that we had believed to be legitimate. Although we perform stringent due-diligence on all of our merchants, it is not possible to ensure that every one of them is absolutely credible.
This merchant accessed casino and sports book databases unbeknownst to the site owners. At no time was Net Pro’s database compromised. We have terminated the account with the merchant and have subsequently begun crediting back every transaction to any cardholders who were wrongly charged.
Should you or anyone you know have been charged by winnersbook.com, through Net Pro, please contact us with your transaction details via e-mail at accounting@netproltd.com, or by telephone, (809) 571-0252 (ask for Lamont), and we will respond as quickly as possible.
Please note that we do have a customer service center located in England, and although we offer 24/7 support, the phones there have been overloaded and consequently, anybody who may have tried to get through may not have been able to.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused…but we will make it right!
Thank you,
Michael Acierno

I just checked my CC and I see that there's two NETPRO transactions, one debit and one credit.
Unfortunately, the charges seem to have been made in British Pounds, whereas my credit card is in US dollars.
In effect, the sum taken out and the sum refunded are not the same, and I am at a small financial loss here.
Has anyone else had this problem, and how has it been resolved?

Natty, there's no need to bring up the other thread, unless you have some sort of hidden agenda against Olympic.
All I want to know is how people dealt with the credit card charges, and specifically the difference between the debit/credit.
Has NetPro made amends for the funds they have stolen, or did you have to speak to the bank directly?
