I have enjoyed reading your posts here for awhile. PL is screwed up right now.
1. They don't answer the phone.
2. Most of the operators are either dumb or they just don't care. Eddie's girls were into it.
3. Maybe I was just used to a "good shop."
Change is not always good.
4. They now post numbers when they feel like it. There is no set time anymore.
5. One of the operators told me all the customers were leaving in droves.
Like I said earlier, tomorrrow I'm going over to Bill Scott's place.

ive contacted eddie and others over the last few weeks at pl but they wont respond. eddie must have took my money with him and the way it sounds he might have took some others as well. im not faxxing anything else to anyone ive faxed to eddie and thaliaand if they werent able to help so be it. i have the right to tell what they did to me and hope others wont play with them. i dont have 5 figures in these books that is probably why they didnt pay any attention to this mistake on their part. i did everything i could to recover my funds including an email to eddie this week but hes disappeared. so i just keep right on going $2000 is about a fifth of my bankroll so ill end up close for the year with this loss. i wish i had never heard of pl and eddie. im a small timer and guess small timers get no respect from the betting industry.

OffshoreSnoop, I also lament the changes and transition hiccups that have occurred. But all this is just the way a different shop runs their business differently.

The dispute with gboyoliver is on a different level. He is saying that he got screwed out of money at PRL. Superbook may need some lessons in dealing with American sports customers, but I just don't believe they will cheat you out of your money. That's what I'm really trying to say.

so jeff your picking sides on the matter when it isnt your money they got. im just trying to add a fuel to the fire they are setting. they screw people and i want you to know it. eddie may be respected umong the betting community but hes scum in my book and if superbook dont step up soon im not the only customer thats going to walk. you dont nned the info eddie is gone and they arent ever going to give me my money anyway so be it.

I am not saying that PL does not pay. I want to make that real clear. It is just hard for me to imagine someone buying a successful business like PL and just butchering it up.
As far as I know, Eddie had one problem. E-payments. Here are my suggestions for the VC boys.
1. Bring back Eddie's customer service dept.
2. The guy that runs your lines-send him back to Gibraltar.
3. Your communications man-fire him. You cannot bet if the phone doesn't work.
4. Payments come from where? Half way around the world. Who thought of that? Tell VC he should be proud of that.
5. Where is Nigel? Make him GM.

Just a few suggestions.

So I get in here after a few days only to read that gboyoliver is back at his nonsense. Once and for all, I have given up on this guy who obviously is trying his very best trying to tarnish my name. The last time I responded to him on this forum I begged him to fax his statements of double charges to Brian or Jeff at bettorsworld and upon their satisfaction I will send out payment via the quickest method. Up to now he only insists on coming unto this forum and complaining. I hereby extend this offer to any of the respected members of this forum posting in this thread ie: Reno, Sportshobby, Udog, brian, Jeff and of course myself....PLEASE prove to any of us that you have been double billed and I will send you those funds pronto and pick up the fees.

Let this forum know that if this guy cannot prove the above I will have no more dealings with him......... ON PRINCIPLE ONLY, I WILL NOT SEND YOU ONE IOTA WITHOUT THE PROOF.

If you have a gripe about PL or me validate it.

just to let you both know, so far gboy faxed us a copy of a statement with one charge on it by epayment on behalf of PL for $1000.00. The rest of his statement was all whited out so we could not read the rest of his charges. Now we couldn't give a hoot about where he shops but why would you white out a second charge to PL if in fact there was one? We discussed this with him and to date and to my knowledge he has yet to prove otherwise. Our problem is we can't even get the original copies of his charges from epayment....for obvious reasons. I am at the point where if he cannot satisfy any of you then I will not answer him.

Better yet........ if he proves he has been double billed.......I'll throw him a $500.00 kicker. That's my final offer......otherwise get lost .

i think everyone here can identify this guy as a scam so, hopefully, we won't waste anymore time on him

getting back to the real issues (posted at the beginning of this thread), and your responses:

1. there were not any "higher parlay odds" this weekend...when does that go into effect?

2. is it strictly a "business decision" that games are circled when there are no pending injuries and weather is not a factor?

3. is there, at least, some realization on your part when making business decisions that posting lines so late will cause dissatisfaction among players and potentially cause them to go elsewhere? Is there some level of caring, on your part, about this or should we just accept that's the way it is, that's the way it will be and we should make our business decisions accordingly?

4. i only wager on the internet so i can't comment on your personal service but, i do find your site to be fast and easy to negotiate

For the most part, I have found new PL customer service to be on par with the old one. For instance, they comp fedex'd me a payout last week that arrived promptly and they have been actively communicating with me on the status of a "snail mail" payout that I have not received yet.

I do concur that it is below industry standard for an "A grade" book to put the lines up late. An industry leader should be one of the first to post the lines and should not be afraid of totals. The new PL owners are paranoid about posting totals as there are lots off the board or circled.

I do like the side lines, however, as they are not afraid of taking chances to entice bettors to one side. For instance, Jax was -14 for the longest time last week when all other shops moved Jax to -14.5 or 15 against Cleveland.

My suggestions for improvement would be limited to putting the lines up earlier and posting more totals. I have no complaints with customer service.

Lets face it. PL is gone. VC has ruined the family like harmony that went on there. I guess that is a business decision that they want to make. The big question is, why would anyone want to play there now? What makes them any better? Truthful answer: NOTHING>

Enough already!!!! I have played with these guys for 2 years and they are tough to beat!
This is my first post. I felt the need cos I'M ANGRY!!!

They have some big players playing into them and thay have a lot of respect for VC.
Most important for me is THEY PAY and they PAY FAST.If you are a genuine player give these guys a chance. You have NO RIGHT to belittle these GOOD GUYS.
They are not afraid to post a different number I took the Chiefs at a pck tonite.

Dont know too much about PL but my guess is they must have been strugglin. VC tough to beat but I love the challenge!!!!
