Rave for Gameday's CC Payouts

Here is a model system for the sportsbooks in dealing with credit card deposits and withdrawals.

- No fees in either direction imposed by the book.

- Online system for deposits and withdrawals, which means I don't have to talk to anyone or call at any certain time or day.

- Built-in drop-down menu that clearly shows the customer how much was previously deposited using which card (if more than one), and a choice as to how much is requested on which card.

- Fast payouts (for credit card refunds), typically in the customer's bank account in five days.

Oh, and did I mention vig-free wagering on NFL sides and totals on Fridays?

I was actually coming here this morn to rave about gameday too. I asked for a neteller withdrawl, and I transferred money where I needed it. In about 5 minutes. How Wonderful!

This morning $120 was deducted from my account by gameday for using neteller. Now I'm sure they have this fee, I'm guessing 4%, posted somehwere on their site, but I didn't see it, and the clerk didn't inform me, so it was a rude awakening. I guess I'll see if the other book will cover the transfer fee, but if not, I'm growing more annoyed with netteller than anything else, or at least with how the books are using it. It is NOT becoming the savior of people like me who thought it would make it possible to transfer funds more efficiently....

I hope NETeller is reading the forum and listening. On their site it should be clearly stated as to each book's NETeller deposit and withdrawal fees charged to the player. Also, any restrictions (like we've seen from WWTS and GOTO) about not taking out more by NETeller than went in that way should also be clearly stated.

Otherwise, you're just placing a transaction with hidden rules and fees. To make this a convenient method, one shouldn't have to go to each book's website and search its rules.

I have done numerous NetTeller withdrawals. The books usually charge $15 (except WWTS which charges $30).

If Gameday charged $120 for one NetTeller transfer that is outright stealing.

However, since Gameday has a good reputation then I suspect an error somewhere ...

Thats right gameday charges 4%. Thievery is a good word for it, as Neteller charges $12 a transaction to the books.

There is another thread around here listing the books who charge (how much) and who DONT charge.

Well, I just spoke with gameday, as was assured that they are assessed a 4% fee by neteller.

Can someone please tell me why/how other books charge flat fees (of $15) while gameday is charged 4%?

This situation is not tolerable. I could have had the money fed ex, sent it to another book via bankwire, and they would have paid the wire fee. Instead, I get a $120 fee, and the other book won't cover this like a western union or bank wire. Is neteller charging 4% on both ends? What a racket.....

Neteller has two cost structures from what I understand, books can go the flat $15 for amounts over 100, or 15% for amounts under 100,

-or-

they can go to a flat 4% fee on all dollar amounts, these fees apply to ALL transactions incoming and outgoing.

As I said, every book I know charges $15 except for WWTS which charges $30.

Why would anyone sign up with Gameday if they planned on using NetTeller ?!?

My opinion of Gameday just dropped through the floor if they did not have a bold and clear warning about the $120 fee BEFORE they processed your NetTeller withdrawal.

People need to be warned about Gameday ...

Thanks for the props on our credit card system. Fast and easy payouts are something we take pride in, and customer input has been the only way to make it right.

That being said, I think their is some serious confusion here about our NETeller policies. To clarify, there are Zero fees coming in, and there is a flat 4% fee for withdraws.

If Chilly was charged $120 for a withdraw, then that was 4% of the amount he took out. If this was not made clear to him, then I would suggest he contact me and I will make it right with him. It is NEVER our goal to charge the player a fee that they were not aware of.

To my knowledge, NETeller offers two payment structures.

1.

(i) for transfers of $100.00 or greater, $15.00 per transfer;

(ii) for transfers less than $100.00 but greater than $7.00, 15% of the amount transferred; and

(iii) for transfers of $7.00 or less, $1.00.

2.

A flat 4% fee on all transfers.


Taking these two options into consideration, and looking at the AVERAGE NETeller transaction at GameDay, the flat 4% is clearly the best option for us.

The majority of our NETeller players are players that generally deposit and withdraw less than $150. With that in mind, the $15 flat fee is more restrictive for the majority.

To clarify our rules, there is no fee for deposits, and there is a 4% fee for withdraws.

NETeller is not the best option for everyone. Just like in any other business, we have to try to keep the majority happy with the general rules, and any other issues can be dealt with on an individual basis.

In Chilly's case, if he did not need the money the same day, next day Fed Ex for $35 would have been the best choice. If you need the money the same day, the fees will be more no matter where you play.

If anyone has other suggestions for our current structure, or has special circumstances that need to be accomodated, please feel free to contact me.

Excellent response by Gameday - certainly Chilly should have to pay a $120 transfer fee he obviously knew nothing about.

Gameday, and any other book that elects the 4% fee, must have some kind of VERY CLEAR warning about it - since there is no such warnign at the NetTeller site (there should be) the book should send an E-mail to the customer before accepting the NetTeller withdrawal asking whether the customer realizes that the fee will be $120 (or whatever).

Cudos to Gameday for offering to make things right with Chilly.

I've been napping all day (recovering from surgery) and woke up--I think gameday put the 120 back in my account. I feel bad. Gameday was in a no win situation. I'm either pissed off, or they have to pay my fee. Of course I'd rather not pay the fee than pay it, but I don't think "free" is fair either. I'll call gameday and, if they indeed put the money back, ask that they at least take $35, which is the fedex fee that i would have chosen. And i think I'm still getting a great deal....

Beyond this situation, netteller is a big disappointment for someone like me looking to avoid (a) withdrawing via fedex and waiting at least 2-3 days to (b) deposit large sums of money from off-shore banks to (C) then send back off-shore as a bank wire or check (after waiting 7 days for it to clear) to a book likely located on the same freaking island/country.

Let me wrap it up where I started, by saying that Gameday's online credit card deposits and withdrawals are a model for the industry.

I'm going to check out Gameday based on the review of their credit card system(no juice on Friday isn't bad either)

I have accounts with Carib, Olympic and GoTo Casino. Carib has the best system of the three for tracking credit card deposits and status of pending credits. Olympic is such a good book that I don't mind keeping track of my credit card history with them myself.

GoTo doesn't show anything regarding deposits or pending credits. That's not an issue for me any longer since their casino set a record
for being dealt "fives" and "fours" while showing six after I doubled down.
