Will either team score in the last 2:00 of the 1st half? On an average of -220 on YES, that most shops offer, why does it seem so easy to score inside the 2:00 warning of the 1st half? Is it because of the time outs or everyone is geared to put up points? If that's the case, why not implement the strategy for the whole game?

My guess is that it has to do with the number of additional plays from scrimmage that can be expected as a result of teams using their timeouts, automatic clock stoppages for plays ending out-of-bounds, and the 2 minute timeout. Also, there is the increased likelihood of a long field goal attempt on the last play, when a team knows that a miss will not impact field position on a change of possession.
I'm sure if you compare the data on the number of plays occuring inside two minutes in the half compared to any other two minute time period, you will see a significant difference. More plays, more points, thus the -220 odds.
