  • Why don't more shops use Neteller?

Only 3 of my outs use Neteller and I wish they all did. There must be some downside as to why they do not use it. What is it?

    I agree. It works great.

Can you explain how netteller works?
Especially if you don't use a credit card.

      Thanks

I agree it's the most convenient way to move money around between books. Depending on your own particulars, it may or may not be the best way to send and receive money.

As far as why more books don't use it, I would speculate that (1) it's new and will take time to be more universally accepted, and (b) it requires the sportsbook to have a positive balance with Neteller always.

I just tried recently to make a transfer, and the transaction failed. The reason turned out to be that the sportsbook didn't have enough positive funds in their Neteller account to make my transfer. This was a bummer of course, as I will have to wait a few days until the situation changes.

Jinx, just go to the website (www.neteller.com with one "t", not two) and read what is there, and give it a try.

All books who have signed up should also get on the list at neteller so that they will not miss out any potential customers.

I had a question regarding Neteller. I have a book that accepts deposits via Neteller but they do not accept withdrawals via Neteller (Even though they put the option on the website). To me, this is kinda backward and false advertising. One of the reasons I posted was because I thought money would be able to be withdrawn with ease.

Is this the norm for everyone else? Or do I need to find a new book?

Wonder what Neteller charges the books for transactions. I bet they charge a higher %.

This has been discussed before. Neteller has a couple of apyment options w/the books. One is a 4% charge (how any book could choose this option is beyond me). The other is a flat $15 dollar fee. Some books will only allow you to withdraw up to the amount you deposited. The 2 books that do this are Goto and WWTS. This policy is no good!

Some books pass this fee along to us, some tack on an extra fee, some give 1 free withdrawal a month. Some are free altogether.

                Here are the ones I know about;

                Free
5 Dimes, Casablanca, Dunes, SOS, SportBet

                1 Free/Month
                Pinnacle, Las Palmas, Wit

                $15 Fee
Top of the World, Wsex, Carib ($20), VIP

                $30 fee
WWTS - plus above mentioned policy

                4% Fee
                Gameday

I'm a Neteller fan, but it blows me away that they can't get fees, limits, and conditions posted at their website (since they're different for each sportsbook).

But to answer the original question of this post - on my last look there were nearly 100 sportsbooks that take Neteller. The real question is why a few sportsbooks still don't yet take Neteller.

                      100? Wow!

I just joined a few days ago - is there a list available?

Yea, the list is at the Neteller site. Click like you are going to make a transfer and the books available for transfers will be listed. It is quiet a list, but it is missing some big-name shops that I use. Also I have not heard of half these sportsbooks and think this might be a bad entry point to try them out.

randyrohm, you're right - one should not infer that any book on this list is a good one. Neteller requires a positive balance by any book, so they don't have to be sure who's solid and who's not.

Well, it worked getting money to Carib.

Not completely clear, said you have a deposit limit of $250 until you are certified, is that $250 total, or per transaction?

think that's via card AV, when you win plenty and wish to transfer it back, that should be no problems.
