  • Neteller EFT

Neteller has just added a new option for Electronic Funds Transfer. This links to a (U.S. only) checking account for easy transfers to and from your own bank account.

This has to be the most convenient deposit and payout system ever.

This is to easy. Western Union had their day in the sun. They got fat off players and books (mostly books paying the fees) sending funds. SIA has EFT for funding your account and it works great. Now with Neteller using EFT you will soon be able to get any funds from any book for no or minimal fee in the same day. Outstanding

sportshobby - Could you give us an idea how long does it take to complete this kind of transaction (deposit and payout)? Is it time to say goodbye to W. Union?

Do you see any chance the government getting involved?
Due to the fact you have so many sportsbooks doing business with one place.

UDOG, I haven't yet tried it with Neteller, but my experience in other similar transactions has been about 2-3 business days (unfortunately not same day). But I'm going to try it, so I'll let you know.

Personally I don't see why anyone would use Western Union. The fees are high, and I don't think I'd ever want to deposit or withdraw more than a couple of dimes with it. Cash is nice, but people shouldn't be deceived into thinking that this is an anonymous, non-traceable transaction. So I say just go EFT and go to your bank and get what cash you want.

Jinx, Neteller is no located in the U.S. (Canada, I think). So there isn't any regular reporting. But if the U.S. really wanted to get records from them, they probably could.

sportshobby - I just had it confirmed from a very reliable source that EFT transactions will take between 2-4 working days. And by the way, their office is located in Calgary. Good luck!!

Dreamer, are you sure of that? I can't find any mention of their address on the website. It's hard for me to believe that they would do such a dumb thing, knowing the history of gov't involvement in the offshores.

Yeah, all it would take is for the gov't to shut them down and the industry would feel as if it has been hit by a meteor. I am considering using Neteller, but I will surely not leave funds there for too long. Quick transfers in and out are ok, but if you want to leave funds hanging around then I suggest you "park" them at a reliable out instead. You never know about Uncle Sam.
