  • Looking For New Outs W/ Specific Qualities

I'm looking for some new outs and have comprised a "Top-Ten List" of the qualities that I would most like to see in a book. Any recommendations on books that meet all or most of these criteria would be greatly appreciated! So without further ado...

    1) Must be on "The List" (the longer the better)
    2) NEVER cancels a bet once accepted
    3) Accepts PHONE wagers of >= 2 dimes on major U.S. sports
    4) Real-time (or very near) odds posted on the internet
    5) Doesn't kick out winners/wiseguys
    6) Bonuses for initial deposit and/or reloads
    7) Offers lines that are sometimes different
    8) Wide variety of betting options
    9) Basketball moneylines - NBA and NCAA
    10) Dime line in baseball

By the way, I already have accounts at Olympic and Sports-Market. Thanks in advance for any input!

I'd suggest JazzSports, Rio, and GrandCentral for your list of qualitites. Plenty of other good books don't offer >=2 dimes on totals, which I assume you also want.

Thanks a lot, Sportshobby! Actually, I bet moneyline sides more often than totals. So if you know of other good books that only take a nickel or a dime on totals but have higher limits on sides I'd still be interested in checking them out!

Aces Gold/Sports Market fits the bill here. They offer everything you are asking for.

Top of the World Sports fits all your criteria w/ the exception that you will get 2000 on everything but a college hoops total. Come check us out at www.twssports.com or call 1800 285-5441.

Based on your criteria I would strongly reccommend WSEX. The only downfall is the bonus, but they do pay 3% interest on any outstanding balance in your account.

              >>1) Must be on "The List" (the longer the better)<<

One of the first on the list

              >>2) NEVER cancels a bet once accepted<<

I have never known them to cancel bets.

              >>3) Accepts PHONE wagers of >= 2 dimes on major U.S. sports<<

No problem. They have high internet limits and higher limits on the phone.

              >>4) Real-time (or very near) odds posted on the internet<<

The odds on the screen are what you get on the phone.

              >>5) Doesn't kick out winners/wiseguys<<

None that I have heard of

              >>6) Bonuses for initial deposit and/or reloads<<

Again aside from referral bonuses they don't have an initial bonus but do have the interest payment. Of course there's always some tradeoff.

              >>7) Offers lines that are sometimes different<<

Often different. For golf, nascar etc. the lines are homemade. And they have moneylines on all NBA, NFL and NHL games.

              >>8) Wide variety of betting options<<

Take a look at their site. Scoring matchups on every NBA game, money lines and spreads for hockey and multiple propositions for football and baseball. Also the interactives are a very fun way to bet and you will find them very exciting and addictive. It's the only place where you can buy and sell teams while the game/tournament is in progress. Also for baseball for selected tv games you can bet on the result of each at bat. Also you can bet on the direction of the Dow Jones, NASDAQ and S&P markets the following day if you are so inclined.

              9) Basketball moneylines - NBA and NCAA<<

They have NBA moneylines on every game and NCAA moneylines on the major games (including all televised games).

              10) Dime line in baseball

              Always have.

Wow, thanks to everyone for all the replies!

Hartley, addressing each of my top-ten individually goes above and beyond the call of duty... thanks! Actually, WSEX was on my "short list" when I was looking for books about a year ago, but at that time I thought they were internet only. Has that changed or was I just wrong all along?

Max, haven't heard a whole lot about either of those books but I'll definitely take a closer look at them.

Warawara, That's no problem, I almost never bet totals on college hoops anyway. I'll check you guys out.

Dragon, I already have an account with Sports-Market. But you're right, they're an excellent book

                Thanks again, guys!

Alpine, they have always accepted wagers >$50 by phone. E-mail me at "[email protected]" and I'll give you any other info you want about them or other books you are considering.
