Unfortunately, like most people I do not have dsl or cable so I rely on 56 modem speed for my website downloads. I have a real pet peeve about sportsbooks that put so many graphics on their site that the page download time takes forever. I don't need to see a picture of someone catching a touchdown pass to remind myself that I am at the site to bet. Thankyou Olympic and DirecBet for getting to the point and skipping the frills.

Easybets with their almost 1MB flipping image on their front screen has got to be the worst... It's not enough that everything is unicode, they have to add that monster there before you could even login...

Gak, that's one of my personal hates also, the books you mention are great for those on a "old" modem. Try canbet and wagerstreet also they are also really good in fact canbet has only ONE picture to download on their betting odds page.
One of the worst books for this sort of crap is Ladbrookes (the UK bookie), and it doesn't pose much hope for the book they are designing.....the playboy sportsbook
