    1) The Government lost its case against Billy Walters in 1996. Walters has yet to receive his money that was confiscated prior to the case.

    2) When Artie and his crew were busted one year ago, 4 million dollars was confiscated by the Government. Artie and his runners have yet to be charged with any crime. Prior to the bust, Artie had been invested for 5 years by 30 agents. All he ever did was move money for others and employ about a half-dozen runners. He could have been fully investigated in less than a week by one agent. When he was busted at his house, 138 agents in body armor and in armored vehicles arrived at his house to arrest a couple of unarmed guys who were just placing bets. It was like Waco. The Government has already wasted untold millions of dollars of taxpayers' money on the case, and if it ever charges Artie, it will waste millions more.
Conclusion: Government agencies are looking, at the taxpayer's expense, to steal money from innocent people so they can line their own pockets.

    3) Hamburgers at many coffee shops in Vegas casinos now cost around $10 if one includes tax and tip. I've personally eaten $10 dollar hamburgers at coffee shops at the Flamingo, Caesar's Palace, and the Belaggio. Hookers can cost up to $500 per hour. And Ronbets wonders why I go to Asia.

    4) Anyone with a phone account at Leroy's or the Stardust will automatically be called back before he can place a wager. That is how anal retentive the Nevada Gaming Control Board is about ensuring that no one places $200 bets at Leroys from outside the state.

    5) The Stardust limit on wagering in a 24-hour period is $2200. Anyone wishing to attempt to bypass the limit must fill out a detailed form and provide a photograph of himself.

Does anyone believe that Government is by the people and for the people? I believe that the Government is for the Government, and that is why Government is like an out-of-control cancer that continues to grow and cause harm to innocent people.

They really ought to just hang it up out there. What's the point?

Imagine how frustrated the sportsbook managers must be that really love what they do and love the way things used to be.....

YOU MUST HAVE SOME KINKY FETISHES. SINCE YOUR TASTES ARE EXOTIC, TRY FREQUENTING 'CHINATOWN' AND ATTEMPT TO CULTIVATE A RELATIONSHIP. WITH YOUR VAST RESOURCES,'DAD' WILL GLADLY RELINQUISH HIS DAUGHTER UPON GRADUATION. BTW, LOOSEN UP THE BR.

Ronbets, I've never been to Chinatown in Vegas. What places do you recommend there?

Just got back from a rare non-football season trip to Vegas and have very sad news to report...another legend bites the dust.

At the Imperial Palace, the waitress uniforms have changed!!!

Any real man recalls those metallic blue uni's which were cut so low in front that many a gambler turned away from a potential winning field goal to gaze at a buxom beauty as she reached over to pick up an empty cocktail glass.

Now they wear somewhat similar in style black outfits which, while still revealing, do add about two inches of politically correct material right where it shouldn't be.

In other words, no potential of "spillover" or nip-ledge.

This is truly disappointing as my wife didn't have to smack me one time for prolonged staring.

              Reno,

The name Chinatown is deceiving. Good mixture of all Oriental people. The one exception, the Japanese are not held in the highest esteem there.

I haven't dined there is 2+ years so touting a joint is out. I just frequent the market for Chinese tea. They have a few inexpensive Asian restaurants and stores. I can tell you the food was fair but NOT gourmet.

I never knew there was a Chinatown in Vegas......where is it?

I understand the next "theme" casino they are building will have an Oriental theme...........read about it the other day.

                  Jeff,

About a mile west off Strip on Spring Mountain. It started off as the Ranch Market and has grown each year. They even have a Buddist wedding chapel. If you-know-who ODs on Johnny Walker, strange things could happen. Cubs Win the Series. Dream on.............

A freaking hamburger by itself is $10?? When I went to San Francisco I stayed at a wolf gang puck hotel and a meal was like $20 but it was a complete meal...hamburger, fries, drink and desert.

                      B/talk,

That $10 hamburger is a gross exaggeration. BTW, hamburger, fries, drink and dessert you call a meal? In 10 years you'll need Roto-Rooter to flush your arteries. By then, you'll be begging for Railbird's health food diet.

Ronbets, I beg to differ. When I ordered my hamburger at each joint, it only included fries, no drink or dessert. The coffee shops I ate were in, respectively, the Flamingo, Caesar's Palace, and the Belaggio. Each joint charged over $8. Add tax and tip and you're on the wrong side of a $10 bill. A buddy of mine had a coke along with his hamburger and fries at the Paris, and told me he spent close to $20. Between the hamburger prices and Crazy Horse Too ripping me off, I'm going to have to work 7 days a wee this baseball season just to pay my rent.
