  • fees for payouts

i recently inquired about getting some of my account sent to me from Millenium. this was the first time i had tried to retrieve any funds from this book. i have been paid on numerous occasions from Bowman & Nasa (at no charge & with no red tape). i was irritated to find out that the least expensive method of getting MY money would cost me $30-$50. i am not a large player & thought this was ridiculous. looks like if i am stuck having to pay that much i will empty that particular account & go elsewhere. i was going to open two more accounts with BW books very soon anyway & would like to know what the payout policies are of these that many of you use. i was looking at Top of the World, Pinnacle, & Royal. despite some negative press about Nasa from some, they are the best at paying that i have encountered. any input would be greatly appreciated

One free payout a week from Sports-Market or their online sister Aces-Gold, and a top-notch book.

You're going to find that a lot of books charge for the payout. Besides, there's nothing to say they can't change their policy at any time. I've had an acct with Royal since '97 and have never paid a fee for payouts........however I believe they require that you leave $500 in your acct. to avoid a fee. Horizon (the good one) didn't charge me the last time I got a payout there.

Nasa gives a once a month free next day fed-ex payout. i collected from them on more than one occasion & foolishly assumed that was how one collected. aside from this steep charge of getting my own friggin money, i have enjoyed playing with millenium. thanx for the info.

if you have sufficient funds elsewhere and if they (millenium) use a 10cent baseball line wait around until you can find baseball game to scalp. bet the entire balance at Mill and offset at another book (one with better payout policies, hopefully). if the side you bet at Millenium loses, you've transferred the balance for free into the other book. if it doesn't, hey, you had a 50-50 chance. Or wait even more until the side of the scalp you bet at Millenium is a big underdog, then you have a better than even theoretical chance of that being the losing game.

Hart Attack I believe most books will charge you for the fed-ex fee - if not the full amount then half the amount. If you take a cashiers cheque by regular mail they'll usually send it out free.

Intertops picks up the courier charge for any payouts over a dime but I have yet to see any book that will pay for a fed ex payment at a lower withdrawal.

Actually what bugs me is with netteller. You have to pay for the fees to transfer in and out. So if you want to transfer (say) $200 from book A to book B then book A charges $15 for the netteller fee to transfer the money out and book B charges the $15 fee to transfer the money in. So it ends up costing $30 to transfer $200 - essentially a 15% surcharge. That's a lot of money for a small transfer.

I'd recommend Top of the World.

-105 on hoops/football. And dime line in bases (not sure to what #).

Haven't had any problems w/ them.

The vast majority of books cover all fees getting money to the book and many--due to increasing competition--offer one free pay-out per week or month.

Nowadays, the bigger you request for payout the "lesser" you pay. You will find numerous books that offer free payouts for a minimum of $500-1000. But if you are an average or small player the best route to go is neteller (EFT).

Reno, I don't see why you would say that. Casablanca used to give free payouts, now they charge. A few yrs ago Posttime covered it now they charge. Ditto for VC. If anything its the newer books that are responding to the "competition" thing, as you called it. It's no big deal for me either way but I just don't see the trend that you're pointing out.

Chestrockwells, it's true. Plenty of books offer free pay-outs. For example, just off the top of my head, Go To, Five Dimes, Island Casino, Sportbet, CRIS, SOS, offer free pay-outs at least once per month. And I think, but am not sure--someone corect me if I'm wrong--All World, Rio, Skybook, and WIT do the same. I know that I'm missing plenty and I apologize to all the books I've omitted. I try to do transfers whenever possible, so I'm far from the ultimate expert on which books offer free pay-outs.

I don't know what's happening with Casablance, but I hear they're also going to a 20-cent baseball line.

                          Neteller is his best option.

                          Hartley , not all books pass on the neteller fees. As far as I know, noone charges to deposit. The following have some sort of free neteller policy that I have used;

1.) 5 Dimes - free always., but the last time I tried to withdraw, they didn't have any funds in their neteller acct. I had to call them and they deposited into their account (took a couple of hours).

2.) Olympic - free Neteller over $300 (might be $500)

                          3.) Casablanca - free

4.) SOS - barbara said they may charge in future, so you should check current policy.

5.) Top of the World - charges $15

I know there are more, but you should inquire first.

As Reno says there are many who over free Fed Ex payments with certain restrictions.

I know 5 Dimes and Carib hav 1 free per month. I'm sure there are others....

I thought Olympic charges $15 using neteller on withdrawals.

CRIS used to have a free payout once a week (every 7 days) on $500 and more withdrawals.
