There are a couple of really good ideas out there that can help the players, and one of them is the free IslandXpress line service. For those of you who are not familiar with it, go to www.donbest.com and look for the link to IslandXpress signup and login.

Those who have followed this product know that it has been a bit slower coming to fruition that we had hoped. Even now there are sportsbooks trying to get their lines to show up and be udpated regularly.

What I want to do with this thread is keep up the pressure to get the product perfected. To let the sportsbooks and DonBest know that we the players really want this thing working completely, and that it really matters. I know folks are working hard at it, but it doesn't hurt to let them know that we care.

I'll be the first on my own thread.

Today I want to applaud nasasports.com (not to be confused with the other NASA that has been thrashed for alleged no-pay. The NASA on the IX screen has taken action to try and get their lines up. Today most of the lines appeared, indicating progress.

OK, I'll be second also.

I sent a message to CANBET asking them to include their baseball totals on the IX screen. They replied promptly that they are looking into getting a second column on the IX screen for totals and runlines. Bravo!

Has canbet been updating? Last I checked they were out of whack and useless. How about Top of the World? Which other books are NOT updating?

Dragon, I believe Canbet's lines have been updating recently, although I'm not sure how accurately.

OldMan, I think it is in the best interest of the players to voice their opinions to their sportsbooks on this one. Put some pressure on them to get things working smoothly. A free (to the player) line service like this is a big benefit.

You really bring up some great points. Having at least a 2 - 3 minute line delay would be nice if it works on a day to day basis. Tracking lines can make a person lots of money if they do there homework. There use to be a website long ago called realsports.com. This guy had a great site and software. I have alwayd wondered why he never kept it going. It had one of the best line trackers I have ever seen.

Are Post Time's lines identical to WWTS? I don't have an account there. Post Time hardly ever has their lines up.

Top of the World and Nasasports are up maybe 25% of the time.

For Canbet to put up totals, they will have to scratch their dog takeback. That would be hard to figure unless you had a chart of what takebacks they would use since they use progressive takebacks. They could always squeeze the totals in there, I guess, but if they continue to just post their openers and not update them all day, what does it matter?

OldMan, you're right. Unless Canbet really wants to show runlines, they only need one column. Option does that pretty well.
