  • What pisses me off?

Well, it is dealing with credit card refunds.

I know a book is supposed to make us go through all the hoops in order to make sure that you are who you are and all that. But my question is this: Shouldn't that happen BEFORE the deposit? If they really wanna make sure you are who you are and that it is your credit card, then how come they have no problem processing your deposit in say 3 minutes? But why is it when all you're asking for is to get your money back you have to send copied of the card front and back, copies from your ID and god knows what else?

Then them make you sign this Credit Card Authorization Form. Guess what? The form is for a CHARGE. It should be used when you're depositing funds the first time, not when you're withdrawing funds. It is for A PURCHASE not a WITHDRAWAL...

Please tell me if you agree or not.

I have no problem doing this when I sign up and I use my card the first time, but don't do this to me when I beat you and I ask for what's mine. To me this is just a stalling tactic and it makes me feel like taking my business somewhere else.

    DG,
The only place I use a credit card is Carib. I have had no problems there.(knock on wood) Deposits or withdrawls, everything has been smooth. I do hear all the bitching about other places so I have been hesitant to use it with my other accounts. I see your point though.....only times I hear of problems are when people want to pull money out.

DG, I agree. I suppose the sportsbooks know that many would be dissuaded from depositing if they had to go through all that.

Here's another process that I found acceptable at a sportsbook: The site clearly stated that such ID would have to be provided before any payouts given. Then, immediately after I made the deposit I received a message asking for the information. This way, I provided it well in advance of any payout request (and avoided the stall).

It's all part of the stall tactic to get you to play, and lose your winnings before you can pull them out.

It's funny how they can just take your money without any "due diligence", but when you want to cash out it's "wait a minute, we want to make sure everything is on the up and up". This is a bunch of bs. Like someone is going to steal someone's credit card or account and then cash out suddenly.

Have to agree 1000% Goon...just went through that at Pinnacle. They were nice enough about it, but a hassle. The other thing, you can't withdraw any other way until the credit card is credited back first. I deposited with them, by credit card to open the account. Took a couple hits and later sent money by neteller (didn't have the funds in neteller the first time cause I used EFT and was 2-4 days). Now up with some room and wanted the money to go back to neteller, easier IMO, but had to go through the hassle of faxing the form, ID, etc. just like you said but had to do the credit card first.
Maybe some of the sportbooks that are listed here could respond if they have a logical explanation as to why they want the information on the credit back instead of when signing up. They don't care if I stole the card and play on it?, they only care if I want to credit it back....doesn't make sense.

                Eman,

It's probably cause they figure people will just lose their money and be out without having to bother.
