  • Who are the sharp-friendly books?

I'd like to give my inputs, and then collect others' about which sportsbooks are friendly to sharp sportsbettors. By friendly I mean treats them fairly and equal with other less astute bettors, including limits, bonus policies, payout fees, prompt phone service, etc.

Some sportsbooks seem to welcome and respect sharp bettors, while some try and make their life miserable (thinking that they are the enemy just because they only take the best numbers, are often ahead of the moves, and are capable of producing a winning season).

Certainly most of the books on the DonBest premium feed are sharp-friendly. I'd like to hear from players and sportsbooks about which other books fit this description.

My inputs (other than DonBest premium books) are GrandCentral, Casablanca, WorldSports Exchange, and Canbet. Considering the number of books that I've tried or looked into, that's not a very long list (sad to say).

Who wants to add to the list?

    Generally good for sharps:

    Olympic
    Jazz
    Aces Gold/Sports Market
    Belize
    WWTS

    WIT
    CASE
    Canbet
    CRIS
    Loose Lines
    ABC
    NAB
    WSEX
    Grand Central

    Scared stiff:

    Bowmans
    Gold Medal
    Gameday

Sportshobby, books that embrace sharp players usually want to be on the Don Best Premium Feed. I'd also add Top of the World to your off-the-Screen list.

        Sports hobby,

Olympic and Cris are scared stiff, hence the 20cent baseball lines.

Olympic scared stiff? Pleeeeaaaze. Spiro puts up more lines on everything than anyone. The value is still there in baseball if you bet the favorites. It's generally around the same number as you see in the dime line shops. One explanation for both Olympic and Cris could be that because of their much smaller hold percentage, due to the fact that they are both clearinghouses, it just doesn't make good business sense to post dime lines.

Reno, that's good to hear about TOW. I've only been playing there a short time, so not enough experience with them. But so far, so good.

Olympic is a joke.I forgot to mention their 30 cent golf matchups, how about tennis Rios -250 take back +180 what a joke,so they hired a European guy to put up 30 cent Rugby lines,BFD.Then the guy has audacity come on a site and cry that he lost big on Lennox Lewis, what a whiner.

Put Jaguar, Island, and NASA Intl. on your "scared stiff" list.

                      lillihammer,

By clearinghouses, I mean that both Chris and Olympic open with their numbers earlier than anybody and because of their high limits, take lots of action on everything. All or most of the big players play there. They, in essence, iron out the line for all the books that post their lines later. This opens them up to higher exposure, hence the 20 cent lines. Did I leave anything out Reality?

You spelled Chris like a man,Cris spells it like a woman, kind of like their womanly 20 cent baseball lines. Its bad for the industry all together to have 20cent lines.BMan,your idol should be Billy Walters not Reality.
