  • Ace's Gold Horse payouts

I am a new horse player on-line. Recently i placed a horse wager at AG ($10 win). The horse won and payed $5. My payout was broken down this way:

$10 - return of initial bet
    $15 - winnings

    $25 - Total Payout

At the track I would have recieved a payout of $35 ($10 - initial bet; $25 winnings).

    This is some serious juice!!!

Do all online horse books charge this type of juice?

If this had been a $100 bet instead of $10 the juice would have been $100 on a $250 total payout.

if your horse paid $5 to win and you bet $10 to win you should get back $25.The book gave you the right payoff.

      bill777,

I've only attended CA tracks, but if you wager $2 to win and the board reads $2.20 for 1st the cashier pays you 4.20 ($2 initial bet, plus $2.20).

At the track window you would not recieve a total payout, including initial bet, of $2.20 (total winnings = 20 cents), which is what you recieve at AG.

I think you've been looking at the track odds board NOT the payout prices, or maybe you taken in too much liquid refreshment at the clubhouse

marzo you were paid correctly at the track
you would be given back 25 bucks for a $10
ticket rememberat the track they give you back what it says for a $2 bet which includes
the money bet--- put it this way an even money win pays $4 according to your logic
you'd get 6 bucks back for the$2 bet on a 50-50 bet--------let me know the name of this track...........

I don't know the ponies, but I am familar with AG. They are in the elite of bookmakers. The quality houses like this would seldom err on the payouts although it has happened.

While I don't use Aces "yet" have heard nothing but good things from folks that have. I said yet cause just got letter from Phonebet (Philly Park)saying
"Churchill downs has requested that Phonebet cease acceptance of wagers from Ky resident account holders on racing coducted at Hoosier Park,Churhill Downs,Calder,Ellis Park,Arlington, and Hollywood Park, collectively the Churhill Downs family of race tracks."
I expect to get same from OTB shortly which leaves me 2 alternatives, use address of Fla property or quit betting Churchill "family" tracks. Comsidering the latter out of spite.

                Marzo,

You made a mistake. They paid you correctly.

Take you wager of $10 and divide by 2, 10/2=5 (payout is based on a $2 bet). Multiply 5 X 5(amount horse paid)=25. You won $15 plus your $10 bet was returned.
