  • Skybook Limits

Since Skybook was bought by RIO I know things have changed. But after posting up there recently I was surprised to find a nickel limit on baseball totals. They are still on the Don Best premium feed. Is this the norm, or perhaps just an unusual situation / game?

Sportshobby, are you talking about online or on the phone? Today, on the phone, I bet 2 dimes on a total with them. They have accepted every 2-dime total and 4-dime side bet that I've put in with them this season.

My complaint with Skybook/Rio is their phone system. I frequently get "dead air" when I call them. Coincidentally, the old Skybook used to have this same problem.

Reno, thanks for the info - it was on the phone. Hopefully it was just a fluke or circled game. The line was 5-10 cents off the norm, so I thought they wanted a bet.

Normal limits on the phone center at Skybook are $5,000, $3,000 on totals. Perhaps this was overnight when limits are $1K sides, 500 totals.

Normal limits are available after 8:00 am pacific.

Skybook, what about the "dead air" I often get when I call both you and Rio? It is quite irritating, causing me to repeatedly re-dial until I connect. Any plans to remedy this problem? Is the "dead air" the same as a busy signal?

I will inquire of this with our phone engineers.

Skybook is Rio? Forget about them. They were both on Bettorsworld and now they are gone. Thats enough for me to stay the hell away. Why do they let them post here anyway? Get lost.

They are gone from the books that appear here on the pages at the top and bottom.
RIO might be on some safe list but if bettorsworld does not have a working relationship with them, i am always concerned about it. This is my own personal rule. I am sorry for any confusion .

Chuckz, I think the books listed in the blocks at the top of this page are the ones that are currently choosing to pay for advertising. They come and go, some advertising for a season and then coming back later. "The List" on the green tab should be the set of reputable books. Rio is there, and the new Skybook (bought by Rio) will make it there soon I'm sure.

Skybook, thanks for the response. It was definitely during regular hours, after 8 a.m. Pacific; but it may have been a special circled game or something, which is OK. I just wanted to be sure that this wasn't the normal limit.

Chuckz, Rio and Skybook are big, solid, well-repected books. Just because they don't advertise on this site is no reason to ignore them. Jeff's List is what you should look at when you're considering posting-up with a sportsbook.

Are these two in the same location now? Is there any difference between the two? Are the lines different and run by different people? I haven't noticed.
