  • The List

Of the sports books on "the list" which one(s)would you recomend for a small, sporadic wagerer (if that is a word)?
I have dealt with Intertops before and have great experiences dealing with them.
I would like to have a 2nd and/or 3rd option for football season.
My only requirements other that being trustworthy is it must have net access and low wager limits.

Take your pick...I personally recommend WWTS, WSEX and Canbet. All have been around for a long time (WWTS is the longest) and all have great customer service. Canbet is licensed in Australia, WWTS and WSEX are licensed in Antigua. I have a copy of the Antigua license info.....it isn't easy to get one.

Of course, there are other books that are good too, these are my personal choices because of long standing relationships with them. They've always been at the top of their game.

Thats certainly a lineup that is tuff to beat. Those guys aren't going anywhere thats for sure! At least with your money. :p
I still have a great respect for Bowmans too but man they need to get on line soon!

I have playes at and had good experiences at the following (no particular order):

Royal - nice people, beautiful web site, good prices
Carib - nice "if" betting option process
WSEX - fast site even at gametime
Olympic - sharp lines, early lines
Vegas International - solid, but old software
CanBet - solid and friendly, good prices

I tapped out at Intertops a few years ago and mailed them a reload question. I am still waiting for a response. Needless to say, I took my $ somewhere else.

Besides these, I would open an account at any on the list here at BW.

                Good Luck to you . . .

I notice that The Big Book is now on the LIST. I played there a 2 years ago, the lines were different but the site was always down and very slow. That coupled with similar complaints on this forum, I withdrew my balance.
Anybody have any recent experience? Are the lines still as different as they were? Any reason to have any funds there?
                  thanks

The two sportsbooks that will let you bet small amounts and I do mean small amounts are
                    Intertops min bet $ 1

                    &

Olympic Sports min bet $ 5

Plus they give you terrific exotic wagers especially Olympic.

Jeff, was Big Book previously on the List and then removed? If so, that would seemingly contradict your "no complaints" description of them.

I don't think The Big Book were ever on the LIST before(I may be wrong).
Like I said my problems were with the website and the software, they paid me when I asked, but I couldn't get a bet in.

                          Reno,

That would be correct. Bad choice of words on my part.

I tapped out at Big Book a while ago but will heartily recommend them, especially if you are a dog player. They did a complete revamp of their software and the site is much better now. They always paid me real fast. But again, the big thing is they usually give you an extra nickel or dime on any underdog, even though they deal a 20C line.

Sometime around the middle of last Years Football, Big Book stopped being a Dog players haven as their lines starting resembling most of the others. Never had a problem there Except software, always paid VERY promptly, but without their unique lines, they are not as attractive an out. Direcbet has $1 minimums an are at the top of my list.
