  • CRIS and Olympic

These are absolutely the best places to play without a shadow of a doubt. First they pay not that I can ever get lucky at OLY but thats a different story. I have cashed out real large at CRIS and never ever get a story just a Customer service rep willing to help. They have great customer service. Secondly you have access to the bosses. Whenever I have a question or need something answered I can speak with Spiro or one of the bosses at CRIS, we know who they are without mentioning names. I feel that is very important you read sometimes in the forums about getting the run around well not at these places. So people complain about the 20 cent line I don't First of all it only matters if you lose second I would rather lose some extra money on the 20 cent line then lose sleep at night worrying about my money, Good work CRIS and OLympic.

I guess I sleep better than you! I play in CRIS as well, but not for baseball. I have 6 other outs all on 10 cent lines. All of the offices are SOLID and pay prompt with great customer service and ethics. These offices include Hollywood, Del Mar, Bet Mega, Regency, Diamond, and Top of World. No matter what the sport, if you are only calling one office you are limiting your opportunity to win. Would you pay $100 for a pair of Nikes that you could get somewhere else for $50? WHy lay a 20 cent line when you can lay 10 cents? Cheaper favorites and higher priced dogs. CRIS is without a doubt the best office in the world, especially their live post horse room, but just because they decided to make a firm stand and go with a 20 cent line does not mean i have to get ripped off. My motto is SHOP till YOU DROP!

I agree in part with both of you. I use Olympic and SportsInteraction right now. For baseball I end up with a 10 cent line (or better) on most games by combining the two as Olympic offers what I call a "fair line" on favorites and Sportsinteraction like Bowmans juices the favs so I can get great prices on dogs there. Run lines are almost always better at Olympic and I play the totals at the better price of the two.

Olympic is by far the best book I've ever seen (I will probably take a shot with CRIS in the near future). The team totals are amazing in all sports, the overnights (moneylines, totals and run lines) can't be beat and the range of bets (like CFL 1st and 2nd halfs and team totals) can't be touched. If a player doesn't have the $$$ to open 8 different accounts or the time to stare at Don Best all day, Olympic is the book to use, particularily in the winter.

Good point about Olympic and a "fair line" as you call it. That's always what it comes down to in the end.......if your 20 cent line book has -120 and your dime line book or books has -121 or higher, and you like the fav, where are you going to play the game?

The best argument against the 20 cent line, of course, is the guy that is only going to sign up with one book.

Neilm, I love Olympic but almost never play a baseball side there, due to the 20-cent odds. Even when playing the favorite, I don't think their odds are anywhere near the best available. Here are today's current prices on baseball favorites at Olympic, along with tbe best available. Most are closing prices, with the last three games still to start.

          LA -135 Olympic, -130 Sports-Market
          Boston -135 Olympic, -121 DelMar
          Yankees -120 Olympic, -115 DelMar
          Florida -145 Olympic, -136 Sports-Market
          Reds -125 Olympic, -111 WIT
          Mets -125 Olympic, -119 Sports-Market
          Braves -200 Olympic, -184 DelMar
          Cubs -175 Olympic, -162 Option
          Milwaukee -110 Olympic, Even Hollywood
          Astros -110 Olympic, -105 Rio
          Cardinals -140 Olympic, -133 Sports-Market
          Texas -120 olympic, -108 DelMar
          Seattle -145 Olympic, -139 WIT
          Oakland -110 Olympic, -104 Jazz
          Angels -115 Olympic, -101 Skybook

          That's a lot of cents.

I more than get the idea.

However that example required 8 other books. Depending on the size of your average wager, and assuming that you want the best price on each game, you may want 15x your average wager in each account. Meaning huge deposits up front when factoring in 8-10 books.

I'm working towards it adding one book at a time.

Olympic gives every non-baseball thing I need. Who else offers team totals and 2nd halfs in the NBA, College Football, NFL and the CFL?

Neilm, I sure don't want to beat up on either you or Olympic. But don't lay the extra juice. AllWorld may suit your list of desires, and have a 10-cent baseball line.

Also, if you put NETeller to use, you may find that you only need perhaps five average bets at each place to keep things working. This is because you can transfer funds the same day after you've blown one account, into the other.

A-Train, gimme a break!. There are at least 20 super-solid books that offer a 10-cent or better line in baseball. If I were you, I wouldn't slep well knowing that I was throwing money away everyday betting into a rip-off 20-cent line. The offshore biz doesn't begin and end with CRIS and Olympic.
I have not been stiffed the past 3 years, and I've played with dozens of books offering a 10-cent line or better.

Reno I am not downgrading other books what I am saying for me is that these 2 offer me what I need. That is piece of mind with big limits and prompt payment when I request. CRIs will take 8-10 dimes on a baseball side and Spiro will take whatever I need and I can get sameday payouts with WU which is important for me when I need to use the money here in the states. I look at other places that are on the list and either their side limit is too low or they don,t offer WU same day payouts, so for my needs CRIS and OLy are the best and I will have to put up with the 20 cent line to get the other things I need

why is a 20 cent line in football not a rip off but a 20 cent line in baseball is a rip off?????

anyone that feels "ripped off" by a 20 cent line and try opening their own book.

the only "rip off" in gambling is operators who don't pay. no one forces you to bet into any line, if you don't like it, don't do business with them but whatever you do don't cry like a baby about how terrible you are getting "ripped off"

Cashusking you make a good point comparing the 20cent Football line to the 20cent Baseball line. If somebody can give me a legite reason why Baseball should be 10cent compared to Football, Basketball and Hockey I would gladly deal a 10cent Baseball line.

Even from a pure player perspective I can't think of any reason that the line SHOULD be 10 cents. It should be whatever the sportsbook wants to make it.

Smart players should play where they get the best value, and the best value on a baseball side is almost never at a 20-cent spot.

Why does greek have 30cent golf matchups when everybody else on the planet is 20cents?I think he is too greedy.

Spiro, the only legitimate reason I can think of is that it's available so many other places. I think what WWTS did looking back was the best thing. They grandfathered their existing customers. All new customers got the 20 cents. This makes the loyal customers who have been with wwts for the long haul, happy. Good point though. Can't argue with it.
