It's a great concept. One I would surely welcome. But of course, with every great concept, there are holes.

For example, after using his 50/50, Regis calls REALITY.

REALITY, Regis here...we have Jeff on the line. He's requested you as his lifeline.

Jeff: REALITY, we have 30 seconds to answer the following question:

a poster (joe blow) just posted that sportsbook xyz blows dead donkeys. The two remaining answers are

A) Delete it asap and ban the asshole

B) Leave it, because we refuse to censor our posters and we want quantity not quality

REALITY: Jeff, the answer is A, trust me on this.

JEFF: THANKS REALITY, I thought that was the answer. That's what we've been trying to do for the last 6 years, but lately, I just don't know if that's the right answer.

30 minutes later, joe blow goes over to.......guess where?

JOE BLOW: Hey guys! BETTORSWORLD SUCKS! Where's my freedom of speech? They had the nerve to delete my post saying sportsbook xyz blows dead donkeys! what assholes

MIKE BLOW: YEAH, WTF, All I did was go in in the middle of the night and post that I thought efg sportsbook ripped me off and that their owner was a convict!

DON BLOW: (1st time poster) WELCOME!
oh, and by the way, Brian stole a little girls wheel chair money!

And so the saga continues.......

I mean, really, you're talking about an industry that has preyed on the misinformed for the past 30-40 years.

It wasn't immediate. 5 Years ago, while this business(sportsbook/internet/offshore) was still in it's infancy, the tout mentality hadn't found it's way to the sportsbook industry. Not really. Not like now.

If you try to point out the nonsense to people in this industry, it generally goes in one ear and out the other. No one really seems to care.

I'm all for making the personal attacks off limits.

But again, most people don't care, because it's not their names being thrown around.

I can't even say I blame individual site owners. 9 out of 10 times, it's some schmuck with an agenda starting the trouble, and he's going to go to where he knows he can get his venom in. Whoever will allow it.

Reality, truer words were never spoken! If only ONE of the watchdog sites would just NOT go over and read all the B.S. at the other sites, his site would be crowned king by virtue of more class exhibited.

Couldn't resist the Millionaire joke :D

Does anyone remember the time The S***** was a contestant on 'Who wants to be a Millionaire'???

On April 19 this year no less, Mr. S was to be found in the 'Hot Seat' of Mr. Regis Philbin's 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?'

Tales of his exploits in the 'Hot Seat' have passed into Legend, not because of his inability to answer the First Question, a task which regrettably proved beyond his intellectual capacity to think about properly, but because of his reasons for wanting to be on The Programme at all.

When asked by Mr. Philbin what he would do with $1m if he won (a likely scenario I don't think) he expressed an unfulfilled desire to open a hat shop.

When asked why this was so by Mr. Philbin, he replied that he was on the wrong show, by mistake of course, and that he had thought when ringing the number to enlist for the programme, that he was entering for: 'Who Wants To Be A Milliner?'

This so far in my opinion represents the acme of Wax In The Ears proving the downfall of a once Great Man.

I agree with Jeff - personal attacks in the Forums should be off limits, and can never acheive anything. Stick to talking about what we all love to do - GAMBLE, and leave the bickering to the Politicians.

That's certainly an alternative that I favor, and practice. I try to keep my focus on Bettorsworld, and what we can do to make it a better place.

However, I also understand the need to respond.

I mean, no business can allow themselves to be hammered, non stop, without at least answering the false accusations. Someone is bound to believe them.

In the big scheme of things though, it's all irrelevant. It all comes down to focusing on marketing the site, building the site, reaching new people, etc.etc.

There's 5OO+ sportsbooks in this industry. Certainly no one site can keep track of them all.

Like Gregg says, we should never lose sight of why we're all here on the net.We all love the challenge of sportsbetting, whichever side of the counter we're on!

I say burry the hatchet... Or is it WR Matthew Hachette? Either way, if it's gambling related it should be here and there, if it's not it shouldn't be anywhere.

I wish both furms were deep in information and allowed me to beat my books, be who they may be. Yeah, a list makes the difference but neither Brian or Jeff nor anybody at MW can make me sign up with a book even if it's on a tombstone list. I've played with World Bet and other no name places and cashed. Maybe I was a novice, maybe I was lucky. But reading the forums I've "wised up". Now I know what to look for in a book. I'm headstrong and make my own decissions and I think all gamblers are the same. Choice is all we can ask for and the more choice we have the better.

Let's all just win some money!
