      Question for Bowmans:

Will this mean that *****ing will be available 24 hours a day, or after Saturday night will your online system not be able to take bets until 11am on Sunday just like the phone service?

        Nice one Jlpblade!

I think they are still using an abacas to count over there.

Actually, Bowmans was the second book I ever opened and I found the operators to be great and the book first-rate.

It's just that month after month of waiting for them to go online and the hardship of getting to a phone all of the time was too much so I switched to books that were on the list and online.

I wish them luck but, as people in the forum have asked for years...what took so long?

In response to the queries on this thread.

We will be announcing a definitive start date for the online gaming portion of our sports book shortly. The target date for launch is the beginning of September.

We will also be announcing all of our new bonus programs and contests at that time. We just need to finalize them as far as reporting capabilities with IQ.

The reason it took so long were technical issues due to the fact we have offices with different responsibilities in three jurisdictions. We will not get into the technical aspects here, only to say there were severe restrictions in the ability to work remotely at an acceptable speed.

We are now offering 24 hour betting on football and other events. 24 hour betting on daily sports such as baseball and basketball will be offered in the coming months.

At this time we offer credit card, bank to bank, cheque, money order and Quick Collect(in Canada only) for deposits. We are currently exploring other epayment options.

We look forward to talking with you in the coming weeks as we begin to launch our online gaming platform and the exciting new bonus programs we will be offering.

In this industry it seems that no track record is better than any being negative or positive. There are way too many sports books out there but if someone wants to play with them, more power to these books. Here we have a book that was a ***** player and despite falling back never dissappearing from the radar. Despite the low limits, they have a history of paying. I think if they couple their web launch with a good marketing blitz based on name recognition they will jump into the leading pack. I would not have a problem sending money to Bowmans when their software comes online. Better them than a 5 hours old book with no track record.

May all your bets be winners, even at Bowmans

mas x menos my point exactly. you think reno gives a crap about the average joe that reads these forums? of course not. he sang the praise of unified books to save his own ass. manipulation for the purpose of self protection at it's finest. wake up people.

While it is nice to see Blh & Chuckz get free coin, i think it would also be nice to see Bowmans follow the lead of books like Direcbet, GCS, Mega & Royal in offering free start up accounts to show the (hopeful) quality of their new site. Bowmans has always been a quality book and i think a lot of eyes would be open by a freebie.

J Ellis why should they? Bonuses are usually started by new books trying to get some people aboard, but Bowman's has always been a great book when it comes to payouts and bet offers. Their reputation preceeds them and noone could ever complain about Bowman's when it comes to reliability, payouts or customer dedication. The only reason I hadn't deposited in a while is that I really prefer to bet online and couldn't do so with Bowman's. Now with the new online system I will certainly look at depositing again.

Kudos Bowman's and best of luck with your new system .

How much longer do you think it will take to "explore" these other options that so many other books have available already?

                              Bowmans,

Do you have a target date to be online? What will your online limits be for football?

                              thanks

The free accounts to give them a ty may not actually be such a bad idea. Of course, it's up to Bowmans and different books have different views on how to go about thing, but other books have had great success with similar offers. It gets people in the door to see and judge for themselves what a book is all about, instead of just going by what they hear.

Hopefully Bowmans will come in and answer some of the questions, such as when we can expect them online.

Bowmans was the first book I ever played with offshore. Long before the internet! Talk about longevity!
