LegalBook / Five Card Charlie / Fair Deal answers ROO....
Jeff,
That is just so weak. They bought the debt of someone that took their bet and decided not to pay. Just once I'd like to see a watchdog site show some balls. Any of them.
Originally posted by : Ronbets I wouldn't defend what McViegh did at Oklahoma City any more than I would defend what the US Gov did at WACO and RUBY RIDGE.
See any US government folks in the death house or on trial for their part in thos crimes?
You're dreaming if you think the USGvt. is gonna prosecute normal procedure! Hell, Slick Willie refused to censure head fed Louie Freeh for R/Ridge. Accountability is minimal. The Nazis didn't sponsor Nuremberg after WW2.
You haven't got a clue buddy. Since when is shooting a 15 year old kid in the back "normal procedure" along with sniping a woman holding a baby through a door? Ruby Ridge - murder pure and simple.
They would have killed Randy Weaver as well, but the media desended and they couldn't kill him with all thos witnesses, now could they.
I guess gassing innocent kids at WACO in order to save them was just "normal procedure" to huh!?
These bastards are worse that the Nazi because they are murdered their own people while waving the flag for American freedoms -saving kids, protecting us from WHAT!
So who was worse - them or the bomber? Same in my book my friend - no difference except one got punished while the others went free.
Anyway i wouldn't play at some place that decides on some whim that they ain't paying a big hitter - just because they can. Total bullshit and they will stiff someone else on some other pretense.
You didn't get the gist of my post. That type of behavior was 'normal procedure' under Butch Reno.
Worse than the Nazis? They didn't murder there own people? Hundreds of thousands of German Jews did not forfeit their property to the Third Reich and committ suicide.
For what it's worth I had active accounts at both Legalbook (Five Card Charlie on the net) and Fairdeal over the last few years. Legalbook was my first sportsbook and I was
referred to them by a scamdicapper back in November 1997. They didn't even give me
the 10% initial bonus until I specifically requested it a couple days after the account was opened. They funneled $6,000 in funds from my account at my request to the scamdicapper who I foolishly trusted. After I realized I'd been taken by the scamdicapper
I asked Legalbook to provide a paper record of the missing 6 dimes and they refused.
I reloaded my account in order to make the sportsbook pay for their association with the
scamdicapper, and Legalbook didn't give me a reload bonus as promised. After I won
several times what I deposited they sent me a check that was dated more than 1 year
before (that appeared to be an accident, it was the first business day of 1998). I sent it back and they promised they would pay the cost for this. By then I decided to play some
more, won some more, and requested a payout. They deducted the cost a Fedex the second time even though they had promised not to do so.
I don't know if the management is the same (I've never heard of Mike Fine before), but it sounds like they still make up the rules as it suits them in these situations.
Later I opened an account at Fairdeal and I just about broke even after maybe 6 months
of action. They knew of my success wagering at Legalbook/Five Card Charlie and other
sportsbooks in the Bon Bini Business Center and closed my account in mid 2000 after I
refused to accept their grading a no-action baseball wager as a loss. I got everything
they owed me. I also had accounts at Wallstreet Superbook (wssbsport.com), VIP Sports and Gameday which were also closed after I won $. One account (at VIP) was closed after a FiveCardCharlie clerk answered their phone; he acted in an odd manner until I made a bet and he conferred with others in the room and I was informed that my account was being closed.
In a nutshell, these sportsbooks are located very close together and I would not be
surprised if there is more to this than meets the eye. They all operate in a similar manner
- remember VIP's initial non-payment of a credit customer about a year ago? Don't give up Roo.
This practice of closing accounts of winning players is a black eye to the industry. If players are not allowed to win, then the game is simply not fair.
