I'm not very familiar with the wonders of neteller and paypal. I usually just use western union. Would either of these services make my life easier?

Words can't describe how these two services can change your wagering world. You can throw those trips the the local WU out the window now.
In many/most cases transfers are done immediately, although transferring in has proved to be easier than out at times, but not usually.
It also allows you to manage your money better than if you had to keep transferring from book to book. Or worse, from one book to you back to another book.
These services are a must!

I appreciate the response, but I'm also more wondering just how it works. I guess a few specific ?'s are in order.
So what you do is put money into a neteller or paypal account, and the book takes the money directly from there? Do you tell them exactly how much to take? (can I put x amount of $ that I intend to go to 3-4 different outs and just tell each out how much to take?) And, when the wonderful time comes to get paid, do they put the money back into the same account? It's not like a credit card where they can only put back how much you put in, is it? Are all my questions totally off base with how it works?
Like I said, I'm just now starting to learn about Neteller and Paypal. And I hate the hassle of Western Union. My gas bill for all those trips eats into my profits, not to mention carring the money around. If I can do it all from home I'll be thrilled (and very lazy).

Omni,
There are a couple of ways to fund your Paypal or Neteller account:
1. Credit Card (Your CC companies will prob charge them as a cash advance)
2. Bank Account
Since you use WU, you will probably be using the latter. The only hassle is that you must verify your bank account with Paypal or Neteller. They will make a deposit (ranging from $0.01 to $0.99) into your account and then you must tell the exact amount deposited into your account to verify it.
Once your verified, you can send funds to your book(s) of choice and the money will be deducted directly from your banking account. This will avoid any cash advance charges and is free of charge. You can send to an infinite number of books depending on how many outs you want to post up with. Sending money to books from your Paypal or Neteller account is also free of charge and the amount is posted into your account within 10-20 minutes.
Withdrawals:
When you withdrawal the money will go into your paypal or neteller account. Most of the books I play at refund my money that same day I request the payout. The books (SportingbetUSA, Island Casino) I play at allow a free payout thru paypal or neteller every month. Some books take a percentage or charge a flat fee, I would avoid posting up at these books. The amount you request as a payout can be any amount and can be greater than what you initially deposited (If we were all so lucky).
Now once your paypal or neteller account is funded, you can send money to other books that accept these services and they will deduct whatever is in your Paypal or Neteller account before dipping into your banking account. Example: You request a payout from SportingbetUSA for $1000 and now its in your Paypal/Neteller account. Now you want to send $1500 to Island Casino. They will take the $1000 that was in your Paypal/Neteller account and then take $500 (if there are sufficient funds) from your banking account instantly.
If you want the $1000 back into your bank account then you can request a direct deposit from your Paypal account to your Banking account. This process usually takes 3-4 business days (Funny how its easy to send your money away but always tougher to get it back where it belongs).
If you have any other ?'s ill be glad to help. It seems you have been gambling for awhile but cautious about using the internet as a tool. So far I haven't run into any problems with these services and they are ideal if you plan to play with cash.
As you can see, Paypal and Neteller are great tools that will expedite the average joe into bankruptcy at the speed of light.

Just a couple more ?'s.
Can I use a debit card instead of a credit card to make things easier?
Regarding the bank account method, do you still put money into the neteller/paypal account that you then give to the books, or do neteller/paypal just dip right in to your account when they give out the money?

I am not sure about substituting the debit card for the credit card. Maybe some other guys will know. You will want to verify your bank account eventually anyway because then its much easier to have paypal/neteller transfer the funds directly into your banking account (and its free). I think you can request a cashier's check but that takes weeks and there is a small fee. You may be able to request it via Fed Ex as well. For me, its much easier to transfer my funds back into my banking account directly from paypal. I then can avoid making sure to be home for the Fed Ex guy and I don't have to go deposit the check.
Im not sure I understand your second ? (but its early for me). They basically link your bank account with your paypal account. Once you request to send money to a certain book for the very first time, they will take money directly from your bank account and send it to the books. The money is never really "placed" into your paypal account.
But when you get a payout from a book by these methods then the funds will actually be put back into your paypal account. From there you have the choice of getting a Cashier's check or having the funds directly deposited into your bank account. Or you can choose to send that money to another book. If you have a balance in your Paypal account they will always substract the amount from that before going into your bank account (Look at my previous example).
I hope that clears things up. If not, let me know.
